There are several lovely travel locations in Uttara Diabari, Dhaka, one of which is Kayaking Zone, Sector 18, Uttara. On June 29, 2024, I rode the metro rail for the first time in my life, and the same day, I went for my first kayak ride in a kayaking zone.
And to experience a kayak ride, we went to Uttara center metro rail station by metro rail. Uttara center lake is located near the metro station, and kayaking zone sector 18, uttara is located on the banks of this lake.
This kayaking zone located in Uttara is so crowded that you may have to wait for half an hour to 1 hour to take a kayak ride here. However, even if you cannot experience a kayak ride, the natural beauty here will fascinate you.
You can get a wonderful view of this lake from the window of the metro rail. You can see how crowded this lake area is from the long height at which the metro rail line is situated. Young people come here in the afternoon to spend time or take a kayak ride.
When we reached the lake, I was quite hungry, so before doing the kayak ride experience, I went to the floating restaurant with my friends and ordered pizza. The floating restaurant was amazing. Sitting in the restaurant, you will feel like you are sitting in a floating restaurant on a huge river.

The restaurant mostly serves fast food and fried food. There are also several cold drinks available. The restaurant is quite popular, because there is only one restaurant on the lake shore. Because of this, it is also crowded. The quality of the food here is fair. Because of the large number of customers, sometimes you have to wait for a long time for food. At that time, you can sit in the restaurant and enjoy the view of the lake.

After eating pizza, we went to the ticket counter of the kayaking zone. The ticket counter was surrounded by many customers who were waiting to rent a boat, while others were collecting tickets from the counter. You can enjoy a 30-minute or longer ride for around 200 BDT or 1.65 USD.

There are boats available for groups of two or three. If you want to ride a boat with two seats, you must purchase a ticket for approximately 200 BDT, and if you want to ride a boat with three seats, you must purchase a ticket for approximately 300 BDT, or 2.47 USD.

The kayak ride experience is extremely enjoyable. Many people go for their first boat ride, and because they do not know how to ride, their boat occasionally floats toward the shore. Wear a life jacket to ensure your safety when getting on the boat. We did not wear life jackets because my friend was a very experienced driver and I could swim.

My first kayaking experience was amazing for me. However, if there were more kayaking points in this place, customers would not have to wait for a long time to ride the boat or there would not be so much crowd in one place. I hope that the management of this kayaking area will gradually improve and that everything will be handled more properly. I recommend you to travel to this lake located in Uttara for your first kayaking experience of your life.
