Giving my Primary One students test on Drawing & Colouring and Mid-term break. [17/06/2025]
As the mid-term break ended, the staff (my colleagues) and students of our school, Kings and Queens Royal Schools in Uyo were back in their classrooms, ready to continue the studies in accordance to the school calendar. For my primary one students, yesterday, Tuesday, June 17, 2025, was a special day - it was the day of their class test on drawing and colouring.
The test was designed to assess their skills in drawing and colouring, using their workbook as a guide. I had asked them to draw and colour various objects, including fruits like tomatoes, carrots, mangoes, oranges, and coconuts.

The students were excited to show off their artistic skills, and I was eager to see how they would perform. As the students took their seats, I distributed the drawing workbook and explained the instructions.
They were to draw and colour the objects to the best of their abilities, using their creativity and imagination. The test was not just about assessing their artistic skills, but also about evaluating their attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

As the students worked on their test, I walked around the classroom, observing their progress and offering guidance where needed. Some students were meticulous in their drawing, carefully colouring within the lines, while others were more expressive, using bold colours and vibrant patterns.
Once the test was complete, I collected the work books and began to mark them. I was impressed by the students' performance, with many of them demonstrating excellent drawing and colouring skills. As I marked the books, I felt a sense of pride and satisfaction.

These young students were not just learning academic subjects, but also developing important skills like creativity, self-expression, and attention to detail.
Finally, I announced the scores to the students, and they were thrilled to know how they had performed. Many of them beamed with pride, while others looked determined to improve their skills. As their teacher, it was heartwarming to see my students so engaged and motivated.
