Hey, streemian, what's up? I am @labibasultana from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Hope all are fine. Today, I will talk about the Dhaka River port, Sadarghat, Old Dhaka. Let's Start...

Today, a team from our campus photography club has arranged a place for us to take pictures. We all go to Sadarghat, which is basically for a photoshoot. I left my house at exactly 7 am for the campus. I took the metro train as it would take less time. I boarded the train and went to Farmgate and got off there to my campus. I went to the campus and waited for the other members. Around 9 am, we all left for Sadarghat. We took the metro train from Farmgate, got off at Secretariat, and from there we took a bus and went to Sadarghat, a short walk from Islampur.

We had breakfast at a restaurant in Sadarghat. The breakfast expenses were borne by our club. After finishing our meal, we went to take pictures. Sadarghat is a launch station from where people board launch steamers. It is like many river ports. Barisal, Bhola, and even various waterways of the country are transit points from here. It is located in Old Dhaka. This river port is on the banks of the Buriganga River. It can be said to be the communication hub of the river route. Many floating shops and ferrymen have been built around it, carrying a lot of food. We had to pay 10 taka per person to enter Sadarghat to take pictures. As soon as we entered, everyone took out their cameras or phones and took pictures of themselves. I was ahead, taking pictures of some boats or ships. Everyone was taking photographs separately, just like everyone else.

Everyone was taking pictures in their way. I was running around with my phone in my hand. There were many boats around. It costs 10/20 taka (0.10-0.20 cents) to go from one side of Sadarghat to the other. The boats are very big. They can carry many people at once. Traders use some boats to bring and take their products.

Then we had lunch around noon, and then everyone went home. I took a rickshaw from Sadarghat to Gulistan, walked a few streets from there, and got on the metro train. I took the metro from Secretariat Station and got off at Uttara North Station. From there, I took a rickshaw and went home.
