It was a sunny Saturday, June 7th, 2025. I had a relatively quiet day at the office, with fewer tasks to tackle than usual. As I sat at my desk in my office, I thought of my friend and colleague, Solomon, popularly known as "Solo Prints." I met him last on 20th April , 2025 which was his 40th birthday. He's a skilled printer and owner-operator of a Gestetner 211 printing machine, as well as full and half cord machines.

On a whim, I decided to pay Solomon a visit. I told my apprentice of my going to check on my friend before I headed to his printing press, curious to see what he was working on. When I arrived, I found him busily attending to his machines, surrounded by stacks of paper and ink. Despite the chaos, his face lit up with a warm smile as Soon as he saw me.

"Hey, long time no see!"' Solomon exclaimed, wiping his hands on a rag before extending one for a handshake. "What brings you here today?"

I explained that I had a light day at the office and thought I'd check in to say hello. Solomon's eyes sparkled with delight, and he invited me to take a seat.

As we chatted, Solomon expertly juggled our conversation with his printing work. He showed me some of the projects he was currently working on, pointing out the intricacies of the designs and the challenges of getting the it done. I was impressed by his attention to detail and passion for his craft.

Despite his busy schedule, Solomon insisted on taking a break to treat me to a cold drink. We sat down at a small table in the corner of the room, and he regaled me with stories of his latest printing adventures. I laughed and joked with him, feeling grateful for the opportunity to bond with my friend.

As I prepared to leave, Solomon walked me to the door, his face still beaming with warmth. "Thanks for stopping by, my friend" he said, clapping me on the back. "It's always great to see you."

I left Solo Prints feeling uplifted and energized, the joy of our encounter lingering long after I walked out the door. It was a reminder that sometimes, the simplest gestures - like visiting a friend - can bring the greatest happiness.

Thank you for going through my post. Do have a great time ahead.
