The Diary Game: Opening Shop Early/ Rainy Day 02-04-2025

Ndewó my friends in the platform, for some of you that doesn't know what Ndewó means, it is me telling you well-done in english. Okay I want to talk about Wednesday and how everything was.

A stich in time they say saves nigh but I did the opposite because I wasn't prepared for the sudden rainy days, initially, when this rain started on Sunday, I was thinking it was a joke not untill it rained for 3 days now and things are slow.

That was by the way, so I Wednesday started off with me opening the shop very early in the morning by 6 because when I woke up by 5, the weather was so dark and thank God my kids are done with examination and waiting for their result, I bath and allowed my husband to sleep, then I took my son go the shop. I packed everything outside and before I know it, it was some minutes to 8 in the morning then I sat down and began to measure crayfish so I can sell them.

I was at the shop with my son and he was disturbing but the only thing I was grateful was that he was very sound and not as dull like he was yesterday, you know the joy of motherhood is seeing her children grow in good health, that's exactly how I used to be happy anytime my kids are all in good health.

So, when my daughter and my husband woke up, I instructed them on what to do, I asked my husband to make breakfast and arrange the room while my daughter washed the plates and swept outside the compound and the sitting room. After my husband was done with the breakfast, he sent it to me, this man can cook, this is why I love him so much, hardly before you see men who can cook like him.

When I finished eating, I went on to attending to customers, then when my daughter came to the shop, I asked her to stay while I go to the nearby poultry farm to buy eggs, I paid money yesterday for the eggs so I was going to carry my order of 15 crates.

When I came back from the poultry farm, I took some eggs with me back home to go and boil so I could have boiled eggs to sell. I made sure I washed them very well because my customers are very picky and I don't want to stand any chance of loosing any of them out of my carelessness, let it just be that they left on their own.

In a little while, I went back to the shop to take over from my daughter, the weather was so dark again and it was as if it was night meanwhile this was just 3 at noon. The most interesting part of today is that even with how the weather was, I still made sales, in short, I sold out my bread and boiled eggs.

When my husband closed from his shop, he closes early these days because he runs a boutique in student environment and as students are done with examination, the sales are not that much the way it supposed to, so he do comes back early to come and help me in the shop.

We both attended to customers while my kids went for lessons at a nearby compound and after they came back, we pack our things inside as it was beginning to rain so heavily and everybody were running back home, the rain was much to the point that it caused erosion at the other street.

When we got back home, we all had our warm bath and I made us fried rice for dinner after then we ate it and when we were done, we watch movies and prayed together, I allowed them to sleep while me I stayed back in the sitting room to write this my day experience before I go to join my husband, thank you for always making out time for me, let me end my day here.
