Built with about 60 hectares in the center of Lhokseumawe City, and located on the coast of Muara Cunda Lhokseumawe City. This reservoir was built in 2010 through the budget of the Lhokseumawe city government and was inaugurated two years later in 2012.
The Lhokseumawe city reservoir was built with the aim of controlling floods that have twice hit the city of Lhokseumawe, and the most severe occurred in the 2000s.

Apart from being a flood control for urban areas, Lhokseumawe City Reservoir is now a new tourist destination for the community and is one of the symbols of the city. It has an area of 60 hectares and with a very good road, in addition to the atmosphere of the Sea Estuary and the cool trees around the reservoir that surrounds the reservoir. This place is a destination for exercise, such as jogging, walking, and cycling.

Unique and interesting facts in this place Besides being an arena for exercise, Lhokseumawe City Reservoir is also used as a place for fish farming by the local community. There are thousands of Fish and crab farms in it, and there are mini mangroves as a habitat for crabs and herons.
