My Tips for Newbies on Steemit

in Hot News Community14 hours ago (edited)
Steemit can be your lifelong earning opportunity, and it is possible that your financial difficulties might be killing you every day. But I suggest you should do nothing because you lack money. I suggest you do not do something that makes you look down.

What I mean is, no plagiarism and use of AI. Maybe for ideas, but not for writing the entire article based on artificial intelligence.

If you power up everything you find yourself earning better because if your vote has no value, you will not be taken seriously.

You should not give up the desire for acceptance in the Steemit writer society, not immediately, but try to give your best at this point in time. Those who are reading you will give you suggestions and advice only until you are writing worse than them. As soon as you start writing better, they will read and appreciate you silently.

Share your work as much as you can through any social media. Do not sit quietly after getting published in Steemit because very few people are reading you. Try to share and bring your audience through social media; good for you and this website.

Do not make any futile effort to get recognition. The evaluation of your writing depends on time! You can turn into a popular writer of Steemit after some time for sure based on your efforts.

Read different kinds of literature! Whatever you write, pay attention to the grammar of the language. If you write diary posts, make sure it's not the repeat of what you said in your previous post just by changing an image or two.

Read folk literature in whatever language you read or write. Be it a poem, song, story, narrative, or saga. From that you will find out which thing is prevalent in the people and which great scripture is hidden in books. Read the complete history of your country from accepted and authentic books/sources.

Do read the philosophical and political thinkers of your country and other countries. Philosophical history and political, cultural, economic, and social history keep you ahead of others.

Do read the original texts of other religions. By doing this, you will understand the context of the feelings of others that will bring you more recognition.

Understand the lives of your prominent leaders and their teachings properly. Also, keep an eye on the politics, social changes, and conflicts between castes and religions of their times, and also keep an eye on the social-political-religious-caste conflicts of your current times! I am not asking you to write on these topics but to avoid writing on such controversial issues.

Apart from writing, prove some other skill. Like music, singing, video making, games, etc. Do not consider gossiping or quarreling as an art.

Move around in other genres apart from your chosen one. If you can write poetry, then try to write fiction or a travelogue but make sure you have something meaningful to say.

Be clear in your statement so that you say what you wanted to say completely and clearly.

Read and comment on other writers on Steemit. Pay close attention to the artistry and style of your fellow writers. To see how people are writing or saying things will definitely make you successful. It is okay even if you do not read every post, but do read a few and make your presence felt.

Try to say something new. Do not say what someone has already said well in his post. Steemit is full of unique and strange writers. Maybe someone or the other will catch your point, so no matter how you say it, if there is something new in it, it will be accepted.

Do not think that writing on Steemit is like a marathon race! You should write only as much as you can but meaningful.

Write by addressing one person, one community, or one society, like writing a personal letter. If one person understands you, then the whole world will understand your feelings, essence, and message!

Decide a purpose for your writing. Keep in mind that the purpose of literature cannot be to harm anyone or to disrespect any group, person, society, sect, or religion.

If you are writing after being influenced by some work, then accept it and give credit to that writer. You should properly cite the original writer in your post, which increases your reputation, and you will not be considered a copycat.

You should regularly read the posts of well-known writers on Steemit because such writers are a walking library. They are present, and you are the future.

My suggestions are for those new Steemians who may be well-off, earning well, belonging to rich and elite families or high-ranked officers, or may be associated with big organizations. But if you want to write and become popular on Steemit, then forget all this because no one is looking at your background but is judging you based on your writing skill.

Finally, I must tell you that it took me eighteen years of writing on various websites and three years on Steemit to understand all these points. You should follow them according to your convenience.

Do as much as you can. It is not necessary that you should follow my suggestions! Feel free to do it if you want, but don't feel obligated if you don't wish to.

The choice is entirely yours.

It has not really been an easy ride on steemit but I am bent on giving my all to this platform, I am learning new things and discovering how to write proper.

I see some good writers as you @dove11 and I am jealous of your writing skills and i want to emulate same but different structures.

I believe with time I will master the art of writing as I keep exploring on ideas to also contribute my quota on steemit.

Thank you so much sir for this exposition, I am very grateful to it and this is saved on my archives, one day I will look back at it and be grateful I was able to read through this exposition to the end.

Thank you once again.

It hasn't been long since I got onboarded here and so far I can say the ride is going smoothly.

Thank you for this wholesome advice, I'll do my best to always look through this as a guide to my journey here on Steemit.

I'm gradually improving on my writing skills even though I say so myself, all thanks to this platform because when I first started, all I ever wrote were jargons but right now, I'm trusting the process and can't wait to attain a higher level of success here.

Thank you once again sir, I'm grateful for this advice.
