Here with me is a news content since this community is about hot news around the world. Most people live in the comfort of their homes without prior knowledge of what's happening around them or probably in other countries as the case may be. Developing this content by bringing up weekly news would actually keep the platform especially Nigerians informed as most of us barely watch or listen to news as did in the early 20s.

Majority are now after making a living for themselves and careless about news. Do you know news helps?. For the month they just ended, March has been a critical month though the major has been in the political sector and some unforeseen occurrence, noticeably, fire outbreaks. We've heard of fire outbreak since January and one major cause is has explosion, pipelines vandalization and others which has caused the lives of many citizens today.

NYSC corps members deceived

Some months back, july last year to be precise, the federal government in Nigeria promised NYSC members increment in their monthly salary as it's a norm that they get paid while serving their country Nigeria. Despite the increment from 33k to 77k, it was reported that there have been no increased payment when these corps members got paid in February this year. February is gone now and the government's promise remains unfulfilled. A corps member said the government has failed again and that they promise what they can't fulfill. He expressed his pain in words.

Dated 4th March, 2025, A tanker overturned due to its inability to hold onto proper shoulders while navigating bad roads. In an attempt, the tanker overturned and spilled contents into a nearby stream where dry-season farmers were working on their rice fields. Unknown to them, the fuel came in contact with their water pump which exploded and brought about a fire outbreak.

There were victims which included 7 dead farmers and one injured. Someone reported that these farmers were to hustle and are now dead. The rice fields got burnt and everything was destroyed. This happened in Niger state, Nigeria..

Dated 6th March, Natasha Akpoti submits another sexual harassment petition against south-south Senate president, Godswill Akpabio. This case brought up a serious scene in the house of the senate and with the power the accused wields, he strongly disputes such allegations and agrees with the senate to give Natasha suspension for 6 months for such an accusation.

The case has been a debilitating issue among Nigerians as most people feel Akpabio is right while others feel Natasha is right but being silenced because of power. Natasha tends to be the 31st female from Kogi state to be a senator.

Dated 6th March, The president of Nigeria approves 10.3 Billion naira for HIV drugs, diabetes and other ailments that are in limited supply in most states. He also approves 80% subsidy on dialysis for those who have kidney problems. Such a working president; one man commented.

8th - 14th March, 2025

Saudi Arabia donated dates to Nigeria prior to the Ramadan festivities but these dates are being sold at high prices. How inhumane; someone lamented.

The federal government enlisted over 100 health centers that would administer free treatment for pregnant women with obstetrics which is a problem that mostly occurs during labour.

There's a case with the incumbent governor of rivers state. He was threatened by APC political party to resign from sitting as a governor or prepare to be impeached in 48 hours. Following this case, the president of Nigeria declared Rivers state an emergency state for 6 months and Fubara was impeached/ removed from sit so to speak.

Following the case of withdrawal charges applied using ATM, the house of reps ordered Central Bank of Nigeria to remove the charges as these charges are indirectly affecting citizens in Nigeria who withdraw daily to settle needs and expenses incurred.

The breakout of cerebrospinal meningitis occurred in kebbi state which has 243 citizens as suspected to have the disease while 26 were confirmed dead from the disease. The state has taken measures to ensure isolation and treatment is done with due effect. This meningitis is said to be contagious and non-contagious. The contagious part is bacterial which can pass through respiratory fluid etc.

Tanker explosion again. This happened during this period. A tanker fell and caused a fire outbreak which burnt a church down in Lagos state, Otedola bridge. Another fire incident at them Aleshinloye market in Ibadan where goods worth millions of naira got burnt due to the outbreak. Traders are in tears that this happened to them with years of hustle.
