"The Dress Codes Of My Country"

Since the prehistoric times, we had records that the early men wore animal skin or furs to protect them from harsh weather conditions since they were travellers. This is the basis of modern day clothing. Currently, we have a thousand and one dress codes around the world. It's known that each part of the world has their distinct dress codes which mine also do. Let's get into it.

My country, Nigeria is one of the diverse nations with a greater number of ethnic groups. My ethnic group which happens to be Ibibio has its distinct dress code. As a man, one is expected to tie Usobo, a traditional wrapper which is usually large in size. This Usobo is worn over a chieftaincy shirt. We can't exclude the beads, hats and other accessories which brighten up the clothing. For women, George wrapper is worn over a traditional blouse. We can't underestimate the value of accessories to a woman as it plays a vital role.

In different institutions, dress codes are applicable as it helps in enhancing order to the place. In school, the students or pupils wear a set of school uniforms which every student is expected to wear. Coming to the tertiary institution, some faculties have their dress codes which others operate on random dress codes. Workplaces and religious places also act in the same vein as school settings.

In my Country, marriage is one of exhaulted events amongst us. Because of that, proper arrangements and dress codes must be met. In my part, we have mostly 2 types of marriages which is the traditional marriage and church marriage. In the traditional marriage, the couple are expected to appear on the traditional wears of their distinct ethnic groups. Then the church marriage involves a man wearing a suit while the woman wears a long wedding gown with its accessories. The important thing for me is that you have to cook so that I'll live at that location 😁.

For me, my personal favorite outfit mostly goes to corporate. This type of dress code is easy to indoctrinate. Whenever I am out to any occasion, corporate usually play a vital role in my outfit choice.
