Details of how to get to The Central Railway Building (CRB) Hill Park

This park is located in Chittagong, the second commercial capital of Bangladesh. From Chittagong city, you can go here by rickshaw, private car or bus. I went here by bus. I took the bus from the New Market intersection. The bus fare was only 10 BDT or 0.7 steem. The bus dropped me at the park gate. Four of us traveled here and our total fare was 40 BDT or about 3 steem.

Entry Fee and Timings

The best thing about this park is that there is no entry fee and it is open for visitors from 9 am to 5 pm, but it is open all the time for railway officers, and of course, there are some restrictions at night for them too. Since the park is so big, there are some residential buildings where many of the railway community live.

Entrance And Walking Zone

After getting off the bus, we saw the stairs going up. This park has been prepared in three steps. Stairs from the main road are rarely seen in our country. I crossed the road and went to the first step of the park by taking the stairs. Although the stairs going up were quite dusty and dry leaves, after entering it, everything was neat and clean. Since it is up there, no vehicles come here, but one or two CNGs can be seen travelling on the side road of the park. We kept walking to enter another part of the park since cars were not available there, so we were on foot. Not only us, but everyone was walking. This was basically the working zone of this park. Many people come here every day for physical exercise and walking.

Ancient Trees

After about two minutes of walking, we entered the main park. I was amazed to see the ancient trees here. I have never seen so many old trees together before. Children were playing in the playground. Teenagers were playing cricket here and children were running around. I came in the afternoon so it was relatively crowded here. However, the old trees here amazed me, and I had never seen such beautiful trees anywhere before. You must have been very impressed by the picture.

Graffiti on Wall

There is a red building inside and some nice graffiti on the walls of this building. I liked the brain vs bullet concept the most. It was prepared for the ongoing anti-discrimination movement in our country where talent was given priority. I don't know what office this building is but every building in the railway community is red. Children were sitting next to the building and enjoying sports.

drainage system and surroundings

Then I kept looking around and saw something interesting. Since it is located on a hill, the authorities have put in a drainage system here to drain the hilly slopes. I was quite surprised to see it from a distance because I was not familiar with such a drainage system before. There was a small hill on which I climbed and rested for a while, and from the top of the hill, I could see a tree. Then I went up the stairs to another step of the hill where the CRB main office building is located. It was very exciting for me because I had not visited this place before. It is one of the many old buildings in Bangladesh. It was getting dark so I quickly captured the picture. There are some guards here all the time to guard, and taking pictures is restricted, so I could not do much photography.

Enjoy the view from the second level of this hill

After the evening, I sat down on the second step of the park and enjoyed the beauty. There were many food stalls below, and I did not try anything. It was nice to sit up there because there are many trees here and the atmosphere is always cool. The park was relatively crowded as I visited during the holidays.

What I Eat

Nut

I ate nuts in this park. The price of nuts was 20 BDT or about 1.2 steem. There were many food stalls down there, but I didn't find them hygienic, so I didn't eat anything from there. Also, I heard negative reviews about the food here, so I didn't eat any other food.

1 Steem= 16.2 BDT (current value)

Before returning home from the park, we saw a clay pottery shop. I went there and after going, I saw many clay items. The clay pots were very beautiful and of delicate design. Since the price of clay pots here was relatively high, we could not buy much. I liked the clay cups very much. I drank tea in the clay cup, and it has a different smile that will impress you, too. The name of this clay shop was "Tepantar". After talking to the owner of the shop for a while, we bought a clay savings bank from there and returned home. The price of the savings bank was 50 BDT or 2.4 steem.
