Can a person be truly happy without being successful in society’s eyes?

Success and happiness are two things. One reason for happiness is the achievements and success we achieve. If a person achieves his or her goals successfully, he or she will be praised in front of society and that will be a reason to be happy. But in some cases, even if he or she is successful, due to some reasons, the happiness in the heart may have been lost. You can be happy by acting in accordance with your heart. No matter how much money and properties you have, it is useless if you do not have happiness in your heart. You may have a lot of money and property. But if you are not happy, that money is of no use.

So what you need to understand is that happiness does not depend on whether you are successful or not in the eyes of society. You can be happy even if you are not successful in the eyes of society.

Do you believe success automatically brings happiness, or are they two separate things?

I have explained above that success and happiness are two separate things. Achieving success can automatically lead to happiness, and happiness is not always dependent on success. You can be happy with other things as well.

If we look at this society, perhaps unsuccessful people are happier than successful people. And some people live without any happiness even though they have many things. Therefore, happiness is not something that depends on money, wealth, possessions, or success.

If you had to choose only one — a happy life with simple living or a successful life with stress — which would you pick and why?

Without any argument, I would choose a simple and happy life. Not only me, but everyone else wants a simple and happy life without any stress. No one wants a life full of stress. But today many people are always in a lot of stress. It can be seen that as people become successful, stress also increases. But if the daily tasks of life are managed properly, one can live a happy life without any stress.

When we look at how our ancestors lived in the past, they lived very simple lives. Everyone in the family lived in a small house. They ate vegetables grown in the garden. But they always lived happily. Today, even though we have big houses and advanced technology, we are always thinking about some problem and are stressed. The simpler life becomes, the less stress it causes, and the more complicated life becomes, the more stress it causes.
