The Diary Game || 26-08-2025 || A Raining Day At Work

Greetings from me to you my dear lovely steemian.
Today was one of those slow, rainy days at work, the kind that seems to drag on even though not much actually happens. From the moment I stepped outside this morning, the rain was already pouring. The streets were slick, the sky a dull gray, and everything just felt quieter than usual. Even traffic was light, as if people were finding reasons to stay home.

When I got to work, it was clear it wouldn’t be a busy day. The rain must have kept most of our customers away. Phones hardly rang, and emails trickled in slower than usual. A few coworkers came in a little late, soaked from the downpour, shaking off their local umbrellas and laughing at how miserable the weather was.

We tried to stay productive at first — organizing some leakage, we are trying to arrange them, and doing little tasks we normally put off. But by lunchtime, the vibe had settled into something more relaxed. A few of us sat near the windows, watching the rain hit the pavement and roll down the glass. It was oddly calming.

Someone brought in donuts, and we spent a good chunk of the afternoon just talking, joking around. Nobody seemed in a rush to do anything, and for once, it felt okay. We all knew that days like this are rare — slow, peaceful, and quiet.

By the end of the day, we hadn’t done much, but somehow it didn’t feel like a waste. Sometimes, a rainy day is exactly what you need to slow down, take a breath, and just be. Tomorrow might be busier, but for today, we just let the rain fall and took it easy.
