DIARY GAME||24/09/2025||A Rainy Day Ending With a Rat Day

After saying my prayers silently, I zoomed out of bed, did a few chores, showered, and packed my bags, ready to return back to the city from the village.It was a hard decision to leave my folks; I had to because I have some other engagements to do. I will miss them for some time, but I know we'll be conversing on phone calls and online messaging. While journeying, the rain caught up with me, and I had to stop by the veranda of a shop to take shelter.

I got to my house, unpacked, and started doing some cleaning because I had locked up the house for some time. I ran out of water, but thankfully the rain was still pouring, so I fetched some buckets to utilize. I finished cleaning, and I was exhausted, so I rested for a while because the rain had restricted my plans of going to school. To while away some time, I opted to read through some chapters of a book I borrowed from a friend.

The evening came so fast, and I've been indoors because of the heavy rain. I had plans of making dinner but still couldn't get to the market because the rain had flooded the route to the market. I had to snack on some light meal for the night, and after eating, I headed to bed to reply to missed calls and pending messages online. While on the bed, I heard some crackling noise from some corner. Behold, a tiny little rat was dancing around. I pursued it all over the room, and I finally killed it.

It was quite a challenging day, but I'm glad it was productive. Grateful for the water provided by the rain and a chance to catch up on my reading.
