The diary game || Better life with steem|| Family function
Hi friends
Recently, an earring ceremony was held for the child of one of my relatives, in which I participated, and I am going to write about it here in this article. The earring ceremony is a ritual that is practiced in Hinduism. Various rituals are practiced in Hinduism from the time a child is born until he grows up and dies. This is also an essential ritual.
It is our belief that this ritual must be performed for all people born as Hindus, so we all follow it strictly. In this way, everyone gathered to perform this ritual for this child. This child is exactly 11 months old now. Usually, this ritual is performed at nine months, 11 months or 3 years because when children are babies, their ears are pierced and ornaments are enjoyed in them, so they do not feel pain. However, when they grow up, their skin becomes tight, and when they are pierced, it becomes sore and causes great pain.
Since it was a small ceremony, not many people were invited. Only important people in the family were invited. It was a great honor because we were also going to be there. The ceremony was held in a hall. This hall was about a two-hour drive from our house. We left home at around 8 o'clock. Since the function was to start at 12 o'clock, we left on time. Our car reached our destination well ahead of schedule.
We went to the hall where the function was to be held two hours before. There, many items were placed on trays to give gifts to the children who were going to have an earring ceremony. There were fruits, flowers, grains, clothes, gold jewelry, sweets etc. Each relative carried everything in their hands and went in a procession to the stage where the ceremony was to be held. I also carried a tray and went there and placed it there.
After that, the baby and the baby's father had their heads shaved, and then the baby was placed on the lap of the baby's mother's younger brother, and a piercing artist pierced the ear and then put gold jewelry in it. We felt that this was a ritual performed for the child. Then we took the items from those plates one by one and gave them to their families as gifts. After the ceremony, everyone was served a luncheon. The luncheon included mutton gravy, chicken curry, fish curry, egg curry, and desserts such as biryani and payasam.
After that, we reached home in the evening. My daughter had come home for a vacation, so I bought a henna cone thinking that I should apply henna on my hands and feet while she was there. After giving it to her, she searched for designs on her mobile phone and applied henna designs on my hands and feet. She did the designs on my hands first and then on my feet. She was very patient and the designs came out very beautifully. I really liked it.
It took about an hour to apply this henna. We did these designs while listening to songs on our mobile phones. In between, we talked about many things and laughed. It was fun. I thought you would like this design too. Be sure to post your opinions in my comment section. I am looking forward to it.
