Hi friends,
I've been depressed since I woke up yesterday morning because the Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner plane crash the day before had been on my mind. I was watching the news about it because my daughter is also taking a pilot course, and I was thinking about the risks involved, but I didn't tell her about it because she thought it would cause her to give up, so here we are, my husband and son and I, all saddened by the news. There were 240 passengers. It was incredibly sad.
However, only Vishwas Kumar Ramesh survived. The Air India flight crashed and exploded just 3 minutes after takeoff. While many were shocked that no one would survive the crash, this passenger was the only one who survived with serious injuries.
There was much sad news in this. Former Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani died in this. A man who came to Ahmedabad from England to cremate his wife's ashes also died in the accident. Similarly, a nurse from Kerala who went to England to work died. An air hostess who first went there as a hair hostess died.
After that I went to the kitchen to cook breakfast. My son and husband were getting ready to leave. We had to go to Coimbatore for a work matter. We were all getting ready to leave. We were leaving around 11 pm. After having breakfast, I watched a movie that was playing on TV for a while. It was a Tamil movie called Jilla starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal. This movie was a bit of a comedy and, at the same time, a spicy action movie. It was the right time to finish watching the movie and leave.
After that, we left and went in the car. On the way, I took pictures. At that time, an Indian national flag was flying in the middle of a garden in a circle in Coimbatore. It was very beautiful to see. I took pictures of that too.
Then we stopped at a restaurant on the way and planned to have lunch. The restaurant was very big. Since it was lunchtime, the restaurant was not that crowded. There were many empty seats. The restaurant was very beautifully decorated inside. There were many pictures of foods framed and hung on the walls.
After we sat down and looked at the menu, since it was noon, the full meals attracted us. The person who came to take our order asked what we wanted. We ordered three meals and had them. Since we were very hungry, we started eating as soon as the food we ordered arrived, but I forgot to take a picture.
The food was served on a banana leaf. Since we had ordered full meals, the food they served included rice, sambar, buttermilk gravy, appalam, vegetable fry, curd, buttermilk pickle, vada, chapati, guruma, etc. We felt very satisfied. After eating, we paid the bill and left from there.
My husband parked the car on a shopping street in Coimbatore and went to finish his work. We waited in the car until he arrived. After he returned, we returned to the house from which we had started. At that time, the car was moving through the streets of Coimbatore city. I was taking pictures of the streets.
I took a lot of photos, but I can't share them all here, so I'll share only a few of my favorites. I really liked the Joy Alukas Building, and the Poorvika Mobiles front elevation was very beautiful. I liked its lighting and decoration.
Similarly, while the car was driving on the flyover, the apartments opposite presented a very beautiful view. I took a photo of them too. After that, it got dark. After about half an hour of driving, we reached home.

Hey @jyoti-thelight, what a fascinating glimpse into your day! I appreciate your honesty in sharing the emotional weight of the Air India crash news, especially with your daughter pursuing a pilot career. It's a testament to your strength that you channelled that worry into action and a family trip.
The shift from reflecting on the tragedy to the vibrant scenes of Coimbatore is really engaging. The photos of the Indian flag and the restaurant meal served on a banana leaf are particularly evocative. It's these personal touches that make your post stand out and make us feel like we're right there with you. Thanks for sharing this slice of your life with us! Which part of the meal did you enjoy the most? I'd love to hear more about Coimbatore!
Aww, what an extraordinary feedback I received! I am glad you found some good things in my blog, and yes, it was horrible that the flight crashed with 240 lives. Thank you for reading and spending valuable time and passing a beautiful comment. Have a nice day!!
Traveling by car is a different kind of fun, especially if you're feeling a little down, wandering around outside or traveling somewhere far away in a car automatically lifts your spirits.
