My Creativewriting: Preparing Banga Soup And It Recipes
Hello ladies and gentlemen of steemit, today I want to show you all how I made local banga soup in my kitchen, I am a professional chef so I like being in my kitchen and cooking for people to eat especially my very own family.
To me, cooking is not just an act, it's a lifestyle and I have lived it till date and will still live it. When I woke up, I went to to kitchen to set things up so that I can prepare Banga Stew With White Rice.
I started by boiling the palm-fruit I bought in the market the previous day, it do take a while for it to soften, personally for me I do like it to be very soft so that I won't spend much time to pound it to tender.
After I was through with boiling the palm-fruit, I went ahead to clean the mortar and pestle then went in hard to pound the boiled palm-fruit to tenderness , it's a lot of work but I have done this over and over again so I have mastered it already.
After pounding it, I selected my crayfish so that there will be no sand, while selecting the crayfish I was already boiling the white rice so that before I will finish with the crayfish the rice will be done so that I can go ahead and prepare the banga stew.
After the rice was done, I put my pot on fire and washed the pounded palm-fruit with hot water and squeezed out the juice into the pot, added my stockfish, crayfish, pepper, salt, periwinkle, steamed meat and fish, seasoning cubes and allowed it to cook for a little while.
After I allowed it to cook for some time, I added my pumpkin leaf to it and then let it cool for 2 minutes then I dished it and added as sauce to the white rice I boiled before now and that was what we ate throughout the day.
Everything I used to prepare the meal cost me about #10,000 ( ten thousand naira), this is about 50 steem approximately and that is isn't much, so incase you want to prepare something like this even with low budget like this, I can send the recipes to you depending on your budget.
