"Pick a Word, Paint a Story #22"
Hello, friends welcome to my post in which I have discussed "PICK A WORD, PAINT A STORY " as part of my participation in this 👉contest organized by @senehasa
I am writing on GLOW for this story, which is an interesting word.
Once upon a time in a certain undeveloped village in the northern part of Nigeria, there was a grandma who owned a garden. Every evening of the day, just before sunset, Janet would tiptoe into her grandmother's garden. It was a very garden and not just like any garden, it was a place where magic breathed beneath the garden, leaves and secrets hummed in the soil.
Glow was her favorite part.
It always started the same old way it used to start. As the last golden rays of the sun dipped behind the hills, the garden of Janet's grandma would slowly come alive. On a certain evening when Janet was sent to water the garden, she saw fire as it flew, blinked like lanterns above the lilies, and the petals of the moonflower. Janet got scared of what she saw at first, thinking the garden was burning, but lo and behold, there was no damage.
But when she looked deeper in the garden, she saw one spot glowed brighter than the rest: a small patch of the old stone bench in the garden where a single sunflower stood even after the season had passed. Janet's grandma called what happened The Sunkeeper.
One of the ones who believes it glows for him or her, she once whispered to Janet.
Every night; Janet would come out and sit by the sunflower, close her eyes, and wait. And every time, a soft, amber light would rise from the heart of the flower, wrapping her in warmth like a gentle hug. Janet truly believes in the glow that holds the memory of her late grandfather, who planted the particular flower some years ago. To her, it wasn't just light, but it was love that never faded.
Years passed. Janet grew older. But even when life got busy for her, she never forgot about the garden or the glow. Each time she felt lost, she would go and sit beneath that sunflower, and feel that familiar warmth. There was a light which was not seen by all but felt by the heart that she often saw whenever she sat beneath.
Glow 🌟; simply means the continuous giving of light and or heat that is produced by something. Just as someone would say; the glow of the room was dark except for the glow of the fire. Sometimes when we look at the appearance of someone to perfectly tell the person how good he or she is looking, we may say to the person, " Wow, you look glow, which means the person is shining. Thank you for your time here.
I am inviting: @dove11, @ruthjoe, and @Ihorgic
What a beautiful story. It teaches us to believe in truly glowing moments, even if they are invisible to others. These glows may be love, warmth, or memories that come from the depths of our hearts. As Janet gets comfort from the glow of the sunflower, we also can find the strength from the light of special moments in our lives. Good luck with the contest.
🎉 Congratulations!
