The Diary game. When Silence Fell on the Valley
Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.
Quite early in the morning, I got up to the chirping of birds that had come to the window of my room, striking the glass panes with their beaks, trying to enter through the empty space. The noise was a bit annoying and made me get up. Realizing it was time to wake up, I kicked myself out of bed and purified myself by performing ablution. I then went for the morning prayers in the nearby mosque and started my day with peace, a sense of prosperity, and positivity. The morning prayers give me the ability to stay calm and composed through challenging situations, and they help me understand the true meaning of everything. After completing the prayers, I made some supplications and headed back to my place. Upon reaching home, I went straight to the lawn to remove weeds and water it. Once I was done with the work, I did some physical exercises to make myself sweat a little and burn some calories to stay fit and active throughout the day. Later, after my sweat dried up, I had a shower, and then I joined my parents for breakfast.
Today, I was given a new responsibility at my office. In addition to the duties I was already performing, I now have one more charge under my name, which is to operate the computer section for MGNREGA. This work is quite hectic and requires a lot of care. I wasn’t happy with the decision that the boss made in my absence, but I accepted it, as there was no way to refuse. I usually don’t complain, and this time too, I didn’t. I accepted it, and since I am always up for challenges, I hardly care about such things and am okay with it.
I spent some time with the people who had already been handling this section for some time, and I was able to get some insights from them about how this section functions and how different tasks are carried out. Later in the day, a deeply saddening incident occurred that shook the entire valley. News came in from the Pahalgam area, a well-known tourist spot, that some tourists had been targeted by unknown gunmen. Initially, we thought it might be a minor attack affecting just one or two individuals—possibly a gang-related issue—but later, when the actual reports came in, the number of casualties was tragically high. Twenty-seven people had lost their lives. It was a heartbreaking and tragic time for all of us. The atmosphere in my office felt surreal—like a dramatic scene—and everyone appeared deeply saddened by the loss of innocent lives.
One of the most heartbreaking aspects of the incident was that the people who were killed were from outside the state. They had come here with their families to enjoy their time, but unfortunately, unknown gunmen ended their lives—not only causing a terrible human loss but also delivering a major blow to the tourism industry of the valley. There is a lot of anger and anguish among the people. Kashmiris, being very softhearted, were in deep grief. I vividly remember the feeling I had, and our entire family could barely eat dinner that night, as there was no desire to eat anything due to the overwhelming sorrow and despair.
It was such a tough time for the entire valley, and more importantly, for the families who had lost their loved ones—and that too, far away from their homes. These are the acts of antisocial elements who always try to disrupt the social fabric of the valley. They are the ones who want Kashmiris to remain poor and dependent on others. This incident stands out as one of the major attacks on civilians in the last two or three decades, and such events highlight the fragile and uncertain life not only of Kashmiris but also of those who visit this place.
That was all I did throughout the day. I couldn’t do anything significant, as the incident was so disturbing that I could hardly focus on anything like reading. I just watched TV to follow the coverage and understand how the incident occurred, until I eventually went to bed.
It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
