The Diary game. “Sweat, Soil, and Service: A Productive Day in Kashmir”

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

I got up quite early in the morning as I have a good habit of rising early, and without any hesitation, I got out of bed and straightaway dove into my daily activities. After getting up, I performed ablution at my house. Once I was done establishing a divine connection with the Almighty and setting a tone for my day, I headed back towards my place to get into some gardening work. As I’m quite enthusiastic about maintaining the aesthetics of my house, I usually dedicate some portion of my time early in the morning to gardening—like watering the lawn, removing the weeds, and placing the vases in their respective places.

After I was done with the gardening work, I did some physical exercise to help myself burn some calories, which I usually do quite early in the morning because I have a very calorie-rich lifestyle. Here, I should mention that we Kashmiris consume meat, chicken, and high-protein food as a part of our dietary habit and culture. With growing health awareness, one needs to be quite conscious about health, and proper care must be taken towards calorie intake and management.

I worked up a sweat, took some rest, and then took a shower to get fresh. After that, I joined my parents in the dining room, who were already waiting for me to join, as they usually do. After I was done with all my morning chores, I got ready for the office, put on some new clothes that I had bought just a few days before, and left for my office.

Since I have been assigned a new role in addition to the old duties I was delivering, I have been assigned to the computer section where I do some online work related to various schemes executed by our department. At first, I registered the demand of workers who had filed their applications for earning some livelihood through the world’s largest employment program, MGNREGA. After that, I started making payments for the wages that the workers had already earned during the last fortnight. These works need to be done very meticulously, and every wage list needs to be checked very carefully. Although there are minimal chances of any fabrication, to keep a proper record of the transaction, proper care is important.

In the afternoon, when I returned home, I could feel my vehicle was quite dirty as I hadn’t cleaned it for the last month, and I realized there was a need to leave it for cleaning at the nearest service station. Fortunately for me, I did not have to wait for long, and I had got the second number. During that time, I sat right outside the service station to have a look at how the workers do the cleaning. For the workers, it turned out to be quite a lengthy task as my car was quite dirty and a lot of dust had accumulated both inside and outside. It took them a lot of effort and also a good amount of time to clean it, and it was late—right around 8:30 PM—when I paid them almost an amount of approximately three dollars and then headed back towards my place. Later, after having my dinner at 9:45 PM, I went to sleep at 11:30 PM, only after going through social media for a while. Called it my day.
