The Diary game. A Rainy Day of Errands: From Morning Prayers to Wedding Shopping in Srinagar
Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.
I have a good habit of rising early in the morning without waiting for sunrise. I usually get up before the actual sunrise and purify myself for the morning prayers by performing ablution, then head towards the nearby mosque to offer the morning prayers in congregation with other members of the community. Today, I was a little quicker in rising and getting out of bed and then heading towards the mosque. As the temperature has risen to significant levels over the past few days, life has become easier, and it’s not so difficult to get up and come out of bed very early in the morning, which otherwise used to be quite a challenge in the earlier days. I spent a good hour or more in the mosque. At the end, I made supplications and headed back to my place with some positive energy and a vibe of peace and prosperity. On reaching home, I couldn’t go for a walk, but I spent some time doing physical exercises in the backyard. Then I dedicated some of my time to clearing the lawn of weeds and other unwanted objects. After finishing the early morning chores, I took a shower, had my breakfast, and was pretty quick to prepare for office, as a meeting was called by our boss in his office chamber today.
One more thing I had to do was drop my cousin back at his home, from where he had to leave for school, as he had been absent the previous day and his parents were quite furious about it. For that reason, I left home a little early and, before reaching my office, I dropped him at his place, from where he left for school. It was quite an emotional moment for him because he started missing me right before reaching his place, and I could see the feeling of missing his maternal home in his eyes. But I could do nothing, and after dropping him off, I quickly left so as to give him no time to think otherwise. Upon reaching my office, my colleagues and I had to wait for our boss for the meeting, which started at around 11:30 AM. The meeting was brief and lasted no more than an hour. After the meeting was over, I, along with my friends, left for Srinagar, from where we had to buy some items my mom had asked me to get.
Before we could go shopping for various items, we first headed straight to one of the old shops in the main street market, where we had to buy some curtains specially made with handicraft work by local artists, which are quite trending these days in our valley. Unfortunately for me, the required size was not available, and the shopkeeper asked me to wait for a couple more days. I agreed and then left with my colleagues for one of the biggest malls in our valley—Vishal Mart, located in the Bemina area—where I had to buy various items that might be needed for my brother’s upcoming marriage ceremony.
It was quite a hectic task to choose from the plethora of items available in the mall, but the three of us made the work easier by helping each other.
We were all exhausted, but we tried to finish our job. When it was time to leave the mart with our stuff, we had to wait at the counter, as a long queue was already lined up for bill payments, and unfortunately for us, only one counter was operational. Later, when we left the mall, it was raining heavily, and we managed to quickly load our stuff into my car and leave the place. It was quite late in the evening when I reached home, and the dense cloud cover made it even darker, creating a situation as if it were midnight, even though it was actually the time of sunset.
It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
