The Diary game: “A Day of Work, Leisure, and Friendship”

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

I got up early in the morning to the chirping of birds that had come onto the window of my room, striking the glass panes as if there was some empty space to go through. I purified myself by performing ablution and then went off for the morning prayers in the nearby mosque. Most of the men of the society had already gathered and were waiting for the prayers to start. The prayer took about half an hour, and after making supplications, I returned home to do the other work that I usually do early in the morning, like removing the wheels from the lawn, watering the lawn, and then having physical exercise for some time. As I realized I had enough workout, I took some rest and then took a hot shower, after which I joined my parents in the dining room to have breakfast. Today, I had to visit the village where I have been posted for a few days. Now I have been working with a new charge, and today I had to visit the village to register a few more households for the PMAY housing scheme, which is intended to provide safe and sound shelter to the people who can’t afford it by themselves. As the last date for registration is approaching, and after that, we would not be able to register any household anymore, I wanted to make sure that every deserving household is registered, so I went to the village today. Upon reaching there, I straightaway got into my work.

It was still afternoon when I continued to do the same work and made sure that the leftover households were registered, who had been in contact with me for the past few days and had been asking me for the same. As the portal requires us to capture both the old house and the new vacant site where the beneficiary would be constructing his new house, I needed to cover a good distance in most cases, as people tend to move from congested places towards open areas. For that reason, I had to cover a lot of distance throughout the day, which made me exhausted and actually made it quite difficult to complete more registrations in a single day.

Today, as I was done with the day’s work, I went to see Nilnag Lake, which presents a beautiful view, and I was surprised to see some security personnel over there, as this area is quite peaceful, and I felt like some VIP must be there. But upon discovering the reason for the posting of these security personnel, it came to my knowledge that they were posted there in order to avoid any untoward situation in tourist places across the region. Anyways, after enjoying some time there, I was heading towards my place, and it was midway that my friends met me and made me return back towards the village for a cricket match. As I am a cricket player, I couldn’t say no and headed back to play my part in the match. Unfortunately, we couldn’t win the game, but still, it was quite an interesting contest where we fought hard but were not able to cross the line. Later in the day, we returned home, a little sad.

Later in the day, after having a nap and refreshing myself, I went out to the market where I could meet my friends, and we had a chat for about one and a half hours. After buying the products that I needed from the market, I headed back towards my place. It was late at night, around 10 PM. We had our dinner, and then I went to bed as I was quite exhausted from the day’s activities.
