The Diary game. A Day of Errands, Friendship, and Evening Reflections

in Hindwhale Community28 days ago

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

I have a good habit of rising early. Today again, I got up early in the morning with the first light of the sun. The sunlight struck my eyes and woke me up, and I was quick to rise, beautify myself, and start my day by offering morning prayers at the nearby mosque. It has been my routine for a long time now, and it’s something that has brought me some good rewards over time. After I was done with the prayers, I made supplications and then headed back home. These days, I hardly get any time to go out for walks because my brother’s marriage is around the corner, and we have a lot of work to do at the moment, with just a few days left for the occasion. The escalating situation between the two neighbouring countries, India and Pakistan, has actually made our lives difficult. To maximise my time for completing tasks, I try to get up early and finish some work well before I set off for the activities that need to be accomplished throughout the day. I spent some time out in the lawn, removing unwanted weeds and watering the grass, after which I did some physical exercise in the open, and then I had my breakfast.

For today, I had to visit a carpet shop located in the nearby town, where I had to choose some carpets to be laid in a few rooms we had constructed recently. These carpets would come in handy during the upcoming marriage ceremony, when a good number of people will stay at our place and we’ll need these rooms to accommodate them. It was quite a difficult job to choose the carpets, but since I have a good sense of colour and a strong knowledge of colour combinations—as my parents often say—I was assigned the task while I was out handling other jobs.

After selecting some carpets, I had to visit Srinagar, where I needed to buy some items required for the marriage ceremony. For today, I had asked my colleague to accompany me so that I could arrange everything more easily, and I was indeed able to do so with the help of my friend, for which I am quite grateful.

Later in the day, I went to one of my friend’s houses to invite him to the occasion. Upon reaching there, I was informed that he had gone to a relative’s home and would take some time to return. In such a situation, I handed over the invitation card to his family and then headed back home.

While we were heading back home, we bought some chairs and a table. While selecting these items, my friend noticed a corner shop where we could have a fruit shake. Upon entering the shop, we were attracted by the way the vendor had presented his fruit custard, and we couldn’t stop ourselves from buying it. It was, indeed, quite tasty.

Later, I reached home quite exhausted and famished. Upon arriving, I freshened up and had some food before taking a short nap during the day. Later, I went to buy some groceries from the market, as my mother had asked me to. This activity not only helps me assist my parents but also gives me an opportunity to meet my friends, who usually come to offer evening prayers at the grand mosque of the village. After the prayers, we meet and have some chitchat together right at the edge of the village market. It was quite late in the day when I returned home.

It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
