The Diary game. A Day of Care and Concern: Navigating Hospital Duties in the Summer Heat

in Hindwhale Community8 days ago

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and upvote.

As usual, I got up early in the morning, not just because the light struck my eyes, but also due to the rise in temperature from the early morning, which made me uncomfortable in bed. I kicked myself out, performed ablution, and then went for the morning prayers at the nearby mosque. It started my day with peace and a sense of prosperity. After making supplications, I headed back home.

The night wasn’t comfortable either because my uncle had arrived at our place yesterday, as he wasn’t feeling well. He was also a little depressed, so he decided to stay with us to get some positive vibes and feelings, relieve some stress, and free himself from negative thoughts. Upon his arrival, I was asked to let him sleep in my room. Around midnight, he asked for some water as he wasn’t sleeping well either, which disturbed my sleep, and I couldn’t complete my rest throughout the night.

Early in the morning, when I returned from the mosque, I did some work in the lawn, including weeding and watering. The lawn is quite important; only proper maintenance can help keep it looking like a lush green carpet.

Later, I had my breakfast, and as soon as I finished, I started preparing for the office. I was then asked by my mother to accompany my uncle to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar.

As I was supposed to drive the car and take my uncle to the hospital, my mother and my cousin also accompanied me to help with some tasks there, as it’s quite impossible for one person to manage everything in a hospital in such high temperatures. Upon reaching, we had already spoken to one of our relatives who is a doctor there, and thanks to his reference, our entry and other formalities went quite smoothly.

He first asked for some tests to be done before the actual treatment could begin. For those tests, blood samples were collected and submitted to the hospital’s laboratory.

It was quite a tiring day for me and my cousin because we had to cover long distances within the hospital premises for various tasks and to collect reports. Throughout the day, we felt very hungry and thirsty due to the heat and the lack of water with us, compounded by the unavailability of packaged water near the hospital. Eventually, we managed to locate a shop nearby, where we ate something just enough to sustain ourselves through such harsh conditions.

It was quite late in the day, around 8:30 PM, when an internal examination of the stomach was conducted using an endoscope. Thankfully, all the test reports were satisfactory, and the doctors concluded that the patient was experiencing stress, which was causing a burning sensation in the stomach and some discomfort in the chest. The doctor advised the patient to eat simple, non-spicy food and also prescribed some medicines, which needed to be taken by 10:30 PM.

We reached home shortly afterward. As soon as I got home, I had my dinner and then went to sleep a little earlier than usual, with tired legs and an aching body.

It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
