The Diary game. A Rainy Day of Fieldwork, Friendship, and Reflections
Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.
As the holiest of the months in the Islamic calendar has now passed, the habit of rising early—embraced by many people in society—still persists. A number of people come for early morning prayers at the mosque, and I am also one among them who always tries to offer the prayers in congregation with other members of the community. I got up early in the morning as I had already set an alarm for 5:15 AM, and the salah, or prayer, was scheduled for 5:30 AM. In the 15 minutes I had to prepare for the morning prayers, I performed ablution, purified myself, and got ready to enter the mosque. The other members of my family were already up and engaged in different activities that form part of the early morning religious rituals.
After I was done with the prayers, I returned home. Instead of going for a walk, I stayed inside and did some push-ups and other exercises to burn calories and help myself stay fit and agile throughout the day. Working out early in the morning helps me remain physically fit and mentally sound, and it also prepares me to face daily challenges with a positive attitude. After completing the workout, I went to the lawn where I had recently planted seedlings. I’m waiting for the lawn to turn green, and to support that, I put in some effort to remove weeds. Since the soil is wet due to continuous rainfall over the last three days, the weeds come out easily along with their roots.
After having breakfast with my parents in the dining room, I got ready for the office and headed toward the village where I’ve been posted. I’ve been assigned the task of registering citizens on the grievance portal that has been launched by the state government and is now live. Serious efforts are being made to raise awareness about the portal and help people register themselves. Apart from this assignment, we already have other ongoing responsibilities like registering beneficiaries for the PMAY housing scheme and registering users for PM Suryaghar, which is aimed at providing subsidised solar rooftops. This initiative marks a major step toward achieving sustainable development goals and is significantly contributing to the field of solar or green energy. Other nations must take inspiration from such sustainable initiatives focused on preserving nature and helping it heal.
Today, I went to the village along with one of my colleagues, who has also been assigned the job of registering the citizens for the Samadhan portal. It was quite tough to achieve the target today because very few people could be seen moving on the roads due to the continuous rainfall and the area being hilly and located right beside the forest. The rainfall was quite intense, and it was difficult to move from one place to another in search of people.
However, our efforts were so determined that we managed to achieve the target by the afternoon. We found a good spot where we could carry out a large number of registrations without having to move around much, and for that reason, we reached our target earlier than others. It was only because of my consistent efforts in the previous days that we had already covered a major portion of the target assigned to us by the district authorities.
The village where I’ve been posted contains a beautiful blue water lake within its territory, and it was quite a wonderful experience to be there while it was raining. The ripples created by the raindrops were truly captivating, and I could watch them without ever getting bored. The lake holds a special place in my heart and mind—it brings me peace, and I feel deeply connected to it. I enjoy every moment spent near it. What truly breaks my heart, though, is seeing
Later in the day, after achieving my target, I headed toward a different village where my colleague had previously made contacts during his earlier posting. We went there to have some food, but upon reaching, we felt it was better to just have a cup of tea. After that, we returned home, and it was around 4 PM when I reached my place. I immediately got involved in some online updates as instructed by the department.
Later in the evening, I took some time to visit my friends in the market. This is a precious time for me—late in the day—when I feel like stepping out to meet the people who are an invaluable treasure in my life. It was around 9:30 PM when I had my dinner, and after feeling sleepy, I retired to bed at 11:30 PM.
It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
