✅What is the most famous festival of your country? When is it celebrated or occurs?
My country, Pakistan, is diverse in religious, local, and national festivals. Independence Day, Resolution Day, Defence Day, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, the Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the Quaid's day are most famous in Pakistan. Among them, the most famous festival is Eid-ul-Fitr.
The most famous festival of my country, Pakistan, is Eid al-Fitr, which means the festival of breaking the fast. The name indicates that the month festival is celebrated after the month of fasting, which is the month of Ramadan. The word Eid stands for festival or celebration, while the word Fitr stands for breaking the fast, which is known as Iftar. This festival symbolizes happiness, sacrifice, and charity of the Muslim community around the world, and it is one of the holiest festivals in our religion, Islam, and in my country, Pakistan.
This festival occurs at the end of the month of Ramadan, and the Exact date is 1st Shawal ul Makarra of the lunar calendar according to Islamic dates. This month is celebrated once a year, guarding the Islamic teachings. This is the first Eid ever celebrated in Islam. In 623, the second year of Hijrah, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was ordered to perform this festival, and the same year, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and all his companions performed this Eid with great pleasure and happiness. It was performed in open fields, not in any mosque; therefore, Eid Gahs are built separately in Islamic societies.

- A quotation is narrated in this regard: Spend your life according to Ramadan, your end day (Aakhrat) will be like Jannah (Jannat). Therefore, this festival carries religious importance in this regard that it builds a connection between muslims' this life and the feelings of the day of judgement.
Building of Strong Character that Islam Focuses on most |
- Praying five times a day in the month of Ramadan and in addition to saying the prayer of tarawih builds a strong connection with worship of Allah, and in Islam, it is said that worship of Allah builds strong character.
- Moreover, the meaning of Fast in Arabic is staying away from evil for Allah. Therefore, a Muslim keeps himself away from any evil, major or minor. This builds a stronger character for the whole month and becomes a habit for the next whole year.

✅What is one unique fact about this festival that most people don’t know?
The most unique fact that most people do not know about Eid al-Fitr is that it is the first Eid ever celebrated in Islam, and it was not performed in any mosque but in open fields. Most of the people (not related to any religious committee) do not know the fact that Eid al-Fitr was the first celebrated in Islam.

People believe that the birthday of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the first festival or celebration in Islam which is not completely correct because the order of Eid was from Allah to perform and therefore, it is certainly first eid ever celebrated in Islam whereas, in the life of Sahabah, the Birthday of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was never celebrated.
The descendants started to celebrate it, and nowadays, Birthday Day of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is celebrated happily😊, but Eid-ul-Fitr is the first festival that was celebrated.

The overall conclusion is that Eid-ul-Fitr is the most celebrated festival in my country, Pakistan. It has not only religious importance, but cultural and traditional colors have also been added to it. People enjoy it with happiness and feel pleasure. This contest is meaningful, trying of @abdullahw2, therefore, I would like to invite @sana-khan01, @sahar78 and @amjadsharif to join it. |
