- When we are talking about professions that carry both "heart and sacrifice", nursing stands tall for it. It obviously not just a job, nor merely a service to render, it is something that worth more.
- It is a calling. A nurse is one who doesn’t just treat the sick; they embody empathy, sacrifice, and resilience. That’s the reasons why I believe nursing deserves to be called a noble and divine profession, most especially in our today’s world where the demand for health care continues to rise respectively.
What are your thoughts about the nursing profession? Do you consider it a job, a service, or something more?
To me personally, nursing is not something one do because we need a paycheck. It’s far more deeper than that. Nurses care for the vulnerables. They work a long shifts, sometimes 12 hours or even more, yet remain emotionally available to their patients. I considered this more as a lifelong service to humanity from generations to generations. A one that obviously demands boths emotional strength and the professional skills. And to be truthful, not anyone can be a nurse or even consider the duty, it only takes a special kind of heart 💓 for this work.
Have you ever received any healthcare service (like a check-up, treatment, or vaccination)? How was your experience with the nursing care during that time?
Ouh Yes, I have received several forms of medical attentions, from the basic check-ups to treatments and vaccinations right from when I'm an infant. I remember one particular time I was ill during my secondary school days. I was so weak, confused, and really scared for my life. It wasn’t the doctor’s voice that calmed me at that stage, it was the nurse’s smile and motivation, her gentle reassurance, and her consistency in checking up on me and progress. That nurse didn’t just offer me the medicines; she offered me the comfort and courage. That moment stays with me till today which I can't easily forget.
Do you think society values the work of nurses as much as it values doctors? What is your opinion?

At first , let's be honest. No 👎, the society does not value nurses the way it values the doctors. And that’s sincerely the bitter truth. Doctors are more often seen as the "brains" of healthcare, while the nurses are seen as "assistants." But from what I have observed myself, the nurses are the ones who always spend the most time with the patients in their care.
- They manage care, monitor the conditions, clean the wounds, offer in their emotional support, and sometimes even go beyond miles the call of duty to save lives. Nurses are not the assistants; they are what I personally describes as pillars.
It is time the world sees that the healthcare without nurses is more like a body without a heartbeat.
What can you personally do to support or appreciate the nurses of your nation?
I personally respects the role and services of nurses, I often celebrate their profeesion and good works in my conversations, when writing, and in my public engagements. I always make it my duty to remind the world of the irreplaceable role the nurses play in our society each time. I do advocates for a better pay either by the government or Non-governmental bodies, a better working conditions, and as well a public recognition for nurses, especially during these special days of recognition and appreciation. The "International Nurses Day [May 12]" gives us the advantage.
- Even in my own fashion work and content creation, I most often dedicate themes to frontline workers, which the nurses a not exclusive. When we appreciate someone, we must do so with a great action and advocacy. That’s sincerely my own contribution.

Conclusion |

The Nurses are not just workers to be seen among others in a hospital; they are the soul of healthcare. They are also the quiet heroes we often overlook, yet they are always there, in emergencies, in the recovery rooms, in night shifts as well, giving their all to others.
This very contest is not just a writing prompt for me, it is a great opportunity for us all to pause, to reflect, and truly give honours to those who have given so much.
- To all the nurses out there _ I Thank You. We all sees you. We value you. We celebrate you.
I invite @bossj23, @dove11 and @emmalex25.
