This week, I have powered up 110 Steem (which was almost all the balance of 110.421 Steem in my wallet). Since Day one Steem journey I have realized that it is important to power up to be able to make it in this platform. Powering up Steem has become a vital part of my strategy for establishing a strong foundation in the Steem community and earning respect also.To me, it’s not how much Steem I have it’s that fact that I show dedication, weekly, by powering up even a small amount is significant. Every power up takes me one step closer to my goals in the long run on Steemit.

As I login in the wallet with my Steemit username, it shows my balance.

under the "Steem" section. Now, powred on my device and then clicked on power up.

After the power up interface had come up, I simply entered the Steem I wanted to convert to Steem Power.

After I clicked “OK,” the system asked me if I was sure I wanted to make the powerup.

When I finished, I typed in my Active Key, which securely authorized the power-up.

The whole transaction was seamless and took a few seconds to fill out a form

Powering up on Steemit on a regular basis is essential for several of reasons. It gives me a stronger edge in the community - you get more say in the vote, and you get to give more when it comes to your say on the platform's path. Second, it functions as a long-term investment since it represents my faith in a prosperous Steemit. What's more, powerup increases my ability to collect more curation and author rewards, and increase my overall earnings.
