I'm pleased to take part in this amazing contest where we can share our favourite fruit experiences and how important it is to include fruits to live a healthy life. What is your favourite fruit and why do you like it?
My favourite fruit is Durian. I am absolutely in love with this fruit- it's the king of fruits! But it's a seasonal fruit. It's not available throughout the year in Sri Lanka. When it's the season, I usually have around 30 to 40 durian fruits. It's a bit expensive, but it's worth the money we spend. Durian has a high nutritional value and healthy fats, and it's also rich in antioxidants. It can eliminate harmful substances and support the overall health of our body. Many don't like its strong aroma, but I really love it. I'm eagerly waiting for this year's Durian season to come.

Since durian is not always available, my second most favourite fruit is avocados. It's also packed with loads of nutrients and tastes amazingly delicious when mixed with milk and honey. It brings loads of health benefits as it contains many healthy fats that are great for heart health. It is also a great source of fibre that helps to improve digestion. I love to include avocados in my meals whenever possible.
And not just that, I sometimes use them for skin care. It moisturizes our skin and gives an instant glow. It's a great home remedy to lighten sunburns and soothe our skin.
Avocados for toddlers and kids are highly nutritious. It's really great to include avocados in their meals to maintain their body weight. Because of its creamy texture, it can be easily mixed with yogurt or a banana to feed your baby.

Yes, fruits are definitely a part of my diet. I try to include fruits in my diet regularly. Since I'm following a diet plan, fruits play a major role in my day. I often consume a banana or an orange to satisfy my hunger and to avoid snacking in between meals. Consuming fruits helps me to stay on track, ensuring that I consume fewer calories for the day. Banana helps a lot to satisfy my sweet cravings, and it is very filling.

Including seasonal fruits like Rose apple in my diet helps me to maintain a balanced diet while providing all the necessary nutrients to my body. I enjoy having a plate of fresh fruit because I'm focusing on losing weight. It makes me feel more refreshed and light.
Have you ever experienced any health benefits from regularly consuming fruits?
Yes, of course, consuming fruits does not bring any harm. The more we include fruits in our diet, the healthier we are. Yes, there are many health benefits I have experienced when consuming fruits regularly. It keeps me away from snacking and consuming sugary foods. I have started to notice the natural glow on my skin when I consume fruits instead of sugar. I don't feel bloated anymore, and including various seasonal fruits in my diet has helped me a lot to strengthen my immunity and to lose unnecessary fat in my body.

Do you liked fruit based desserts, drinks and shakes? If yes then tell us about them.
Yes, I really love desserts like fruit trifle. It tastes amazing! It satisfies my sweet tooth while providing great nutritional value. That's a better option than consuming sugary desserts that have zero nutrients and are high in calories. Thanks to the natural sugars and vitamins, the fruit-based treats are a true saviour to maintain healthy habits while satisfying our sweet cravings. But we should also be mindful when consuming fruit-based desserts, drinks, and shakes because they may contain high sugar levels that make them harmful to consume.
