Why is it more important to stay hydrated in summer than in other seasons?
Compared to other seasons, summer weather is more intense. At this time, the body cools down and feels hot. Due to this cooling, water is released from the body through sweat, which is more than in other seasons. Our body needs water immensely. In summer temperatures, the body cools down and body fluids are released through sweat. We should drink more water to maintain hydration or water balance in the body due to the damage that occurs after sweating from the body.
The key to surviving in the heat is hydration. In hot weather, our body loses a lot of water through sweat to cool down, which is very harmful to our body. As a result, the body feels sick and tired. Many times, water loss from the body causes burning sensation in the urine. We should drink more water during summer.
How much water do you try to drink every day during summer? Do you follow any routine?
Everyone's body is not the same, so during summer, my body sweats a lot and as a result, fluids are released from my body. For this, I have to drink a lot of water. I drink a glass of water before and after exercising in the morning. Besides, I work at home all day long, and I drink a glass of water in between work. I drink water during meals and drink a glass of water before sleeping. That is, I drink water whenever I feel thirsty.
In this way, I drink about 2 liters of water throughout the day. As a result of drinking this water, the water in my body remains stable even after sweating. Besides, I don't feel tired at work.
What is your favorite dehydrating food, drink or beverage during summer?
During summer, we usually drink various types of drinks to fill the water gap. However, we usually always have lemon and sugar at home. So almost every day during summer, I make lemon sherbet for my family. This drink is made by mixing a large amount of lemon with cold water and a small amount of salt and sugar. This drink is delicious to eat and gives our body a lot of comfort in the heat. Many children at home do not want to drink normal water, so if I make this lemon sherbet for them, they feel very comfortable and drink this drink. I make this drink almost every day after cooking in the afternoon when it is very hot.
I don't like drinking normal water all the time. Besides, the doctor has already told me to drink 2 liters of water regularly every day. So I drink lemon sherbet along with normal water. I feel calm after drinking this drink.
How does dehydration affect our body? And how to overcome this situation?
Dehydration makes our body sick. Due to excessive sweating in summer, the necessary water is removed from the body. This makes our skin dry and causes irritation in the urine. Our body becomes tired and weak. Due to excess water deficiency, normal life is disrupted and people become completely sick. As a result, people are disrupted in their daily work life. Many times people also die due to water deficiency.
To get rid of water deficiency, we should drink more water every day or eat liquid foods. For example, include some kind of drink in the food list every day, such as sherbet, fruit juice, saline, glucose, etc. Drink normal water in between work. This will help our body stay healthy after overcoming water deficiency.
