Assalam o alaikum.

Hello my dear steemit friends. I loved taking part in different writing contests. Writing helps me expressed my thoughts and share my personal experiences with others. Today i am going to write about a very important part of our daily life sleep. We all sleep every night but have we ever thought about how it affects our health mood and energy? In this post i will answer a few questions about my sleep routine and how sleep plays a big role in my life.

How many hours of sleep do you usually get each night and do you think it’s enough?

Usually i get about 6 to 7 hours of sleep every night. Some days it’s even less when I have exams or i stay up late using my mobile. I know that for a healthy life 7 to 8 hours of sleep is necessary. For me 6 hours is not always enough. When i sleep less i wake up tired lazy and sometimes with a headache. But on weekends i try to sleep longer and give my body rest. So no i don’t think it’s enough and I really want to improve this habit.

Do you follow any sleep routine (like reading meditation avoiding screens)?

Yes i try to follows a simple sleep routine before sleeping i wash my face and brush my teeth. Sometimes i do light stretching or slow breathing to relaxed my body. I also try to avoids using my mobile before bed but it is a little hard for me. Scrolling through social media or watching shorts videos can wastes a lot of time. On good days i reads a book or listens to soft music to calm my mind. These things help me fall asleep faster and sleep betters. A proper routine really makes a difference.

What disturbs your sleep the most? (noise stress mobile late-night eating etc.)

Many things disturb my sleep. The biggest one is stress. When i feel worried about something i keep thinking about it even in bed. This makes it hard to fall asleep. The second biggest reason is my mobile phone. I keep checking messages watching videos or using social apps. This wastes time and affects my sleep badly. Sometimes lates night eating also causes problems. If i eat heavy food like meat or fried snacks at night i feel uncomfortably and can not sleep well. Noise from outside or from family members also disturbs me especially when i am trying to rest after a long day.

Tell us about the negative impacts of not taking enough sleep and positive impacts of taking enough sleep on our health.

Sleep is very important for both our body and mind. If we don’t sleep enough we feel tired all day. It becomes hard to focus study or do our daily work. We may also get angry quickly and feel sad or stressed. Lack of sleep can cause dark circles dull skin headaches weak memory and even weight gain. Our immune system becomes weak and we can get sick easily. But when we take good and full sleep everything feels better. We wake up fresh and happy. Our brain works better and we can think clearly. Good sleep helps in learning healing and staying active all day. It also keeps our skin glowing our heart healthy and our mood good. We becomes more productive and enjoy life more so sleep is not a wasted of time it is a powerful tool to stay healthy and strong.
