Life is moving so fast these days. We are always glued to screens, going through routines that feel like they never end. In all this rush, we forget to pause and connect with simple things like nature. For me, that connection began in the most ordinary way a short walk in the evening during lockdown. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but this little habit became one of the most calming and healing parts of my day and, honestly, my life.
At first, I just stepped outside to get some fresh air. But over time, I started noticing how much calmer and lighter I felt after each walk. No headphones, no scrolling ust me, my thoughts, and the natural world around me. The sound of birds, the rustling leaves, the smell of soil after rain all of it helped quiet my mind. My breathing slowed, my thoughts settled. It felt like nature was quietly hugging me back to peace.
Studies verify that spending time in inexperienced areas can lessen anxiety, enhance focus, and improve mood. But honestly, you don’t want studies to recognize that. You can experience the distinction after only a few mins of taking walks amongst timber or really sitting beneath death the sky.
