Hello everyone, good morning to you all and welcome back to my blog. I'm so happy writing on this topic, because it's something that has to do with our health.

Define what healthy eating means to you in your own words.

This can be defined as consuming a nutritious and balanced diet in the right proportion in order to maintain general wellbeing.

Key factors to consider in healthy eating
  • Balanced diet
    It involves eating variety of the six classes of food in your diet.

  • Moderation
    It also involves eating food in the right proportion inorder to get adequate nutrients from it.

  • Organic food
    It also involves prioritizing organic food to processed food.

  • Hydration
    Taking plenty of water daily inorder to stay hydrated.

Analyze your eating habits over the last three days. Have you been eating healthily?

I would say that I have eating healthy, I recently participated in Healthy eating Steemit Learning Challenge and it was an eye opener to me considering healthy eating, the Lectures really helped me to improve my healthy eating habits and I would say that for the past 3 days, I have eaten healthy.

Create a menu using Local Ingredients that can help create a Healthy diet.

Here is my plan.

Breakfast
  • For breakfast menu, we have
    Fried pancakes with a cup of Chocolate.

  • Quaker oats with milk and fruits topping like banana, apple.

  • Orange juice with toasted whole grain bread and boiled egg.

Lunch
  • For lunch menu, we have Jollof rice with Vegetable and boiled egg.

  • Chicken pepper soup with boiled rice.

  • Vegetable Jollof spaghetti and fried chicken.

Dinner Menu
  • The Dinner menu, we have boiled Potatoes and fried egg sauce.

  • Vegetable Salad with roasted fish.

  • Stir fry vegetable with grilled chicken.

Just like I said before, I have started practicing healthy eating for awhile now, even though it's not easy because I love eating junk but what have been helping me is that I do the 70/30 meal plan in which I eat healthy for two times in a day and I eat the food I like once a day.
