10 THE LORD YOUR GOD HAS MULTIPLIED YOU, and here you are today, as the stars of heaven in multitude.
11 MAY THE LORD GOD OF YOUR FATHERS MAKE YOU A THOUSAND TIMES MORE NUMEROUS THAN YOU ARE, AND BLESS YOU AS HE HAS PROMISED YOU!"
Deuteronomy 1:10-11 (NKJV)

One peculiarity about God, whatever He is involved in, is progress, increase and multiplication. In the above passage of the Bible, the Israelites were multiplied by God, they were like stars of heaven in number or multitude (Deuteronomy 1:10).

If anyone who claimed to be a believer in Christ Jesus is experiencing stagnation in his or her life; in their endeavour, on whatever they do, It should be known to the person that God probably might not be with them in that which they are doing. If God were in a thing, there would be increase, progress and enlargement. Where these are lacking, It means something is wrong somewhere; God presence is not fully in operation in such a person's life and the things he or she is doing.

One major thing which I know, or that which I have come to realize or discover is, when there is any stagnation or lack of progress, it is always about God's absence in the work or place. Mostly, the cause of any stagnation or being unprogressive is God's absence or His disfavour. Using a ministry work as an example or a case study, when a ministry work is being stagnated, there are a number of things to It:
I. God might not be in the work at all which symbolizes or means that the work was not commanded by God. This usually happened when someone left an established ministry to pioneer a new work or ministry, when he or she was not commanded by God to do it. Probably the person did that because of discord in the place they left or the honour and glamour or fame they perceived to get or receive in doing the work.

II. Another reason is, God may have been in the work at the onset but decided to withdraw because the person at the helm of the affairs in the ministry; the leadership, pioneer, founder or visionary might have deviated from the vision or pattern with which God had given or told him or her to build with (Hebrews 8:5). A ministry should strictly be built according to whatever pattern given to the visionary to build with.

III. Another cause of stagnation could be that the set man, the overseer or founder, had lost his or her fellowship or communion with God. When this happened, one of the results or consequences of that would be the point number two mentioned above—deviation or derailment from the original vision.

IV. The outcome or another significant effect of God's absence in a work, ministry or assignment, is lack of provision; and a vision without provision would definitely be suffocated. When finances are withdrawn, no resources for the progress of the work—the work would definitely be packed up.

Thus, what keeps the flow of finances in a ministry or assignment, or even a secular work or business, is the provision—the flow of finances. If there is no flow of finances, stagnation is automatic or inevitable. Remember, whatever progress you are going to make physically is directly or indirectly about finances.
Whoever is sent to pioneer a new work; a ministry, church, parachurch, a secular business commanded by God, and whatever; let such pay a careful attention to his or her relationship and fellowship with God. There should be a special tie between the Sender, God, and the sent, the believer being sent.

When communion between the Sender, God, and the sent, the believer, is gone; progress and success are gone.
Peace.
