UNDERSTANDING GOD'S SIMPLICITIES

in GEMS9 days ago

"AND SHE BROUGHT FORTH HER FIRSTBORN SON, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn."
Luke 2:7 (NKJV)

One could see here in this passage that the birth of Jesus, the Christ or Messiah, was like the birth of any other child that is insignificant—there was nothing spectacular about it, so to speak.
The doings of God, His ways, are full of simplicities, that whoever is not discerning enough would not see or understand what He is trying to do, or the message He is trying to convey or pass across. One could easily write off the saying of those shepherds who came testifying about the message of the angel (Luke 2:8-18); when the condition of the birth of the Baby Jesus was that of being: in a manger or feeding-trough of the animals, wrapped in swaddling cloths, and the parents being unable to get a room in the inn or guesthouse. One could easily think there was nothing special about the child—Baby Jesus.

God's works and doings are always insignificant to those who could not discern spiritual things: "THIS IS WHY ONLY SOMEONE WHO HAS GOD'S SPIRIT CAN UNDERSTAND SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS. ANYONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE GOD'S SPIRIT THINKS THESE BLESSINGS ARE FOOLISH" (1 Corinthians 2:14 Contemporary English Version). You may mistakenly think God is not in it.
People always erroneously think If God were in a thing, It would be spectacular and special. It would be spellbound when seen, but it is always not so. God does His things with simplicities, that If care is not taken and you are not circumspect and discerning, you might miss Him, God, and the message He is trying to convey or pass across through the event or circumstance. May you not miss God's visitation in your life in Jesus' mighty name.

A lot of people, even believers, usually explain God's miraculous move away as If nothing special has happened or taken place, because the doings of God are with simplicities.
If you had been praying for a thing to happen, such that needed God's hand for it to happen; If the prayer would be answered, It might not look spectacular. That is, the events that brought the answer might not look so special. In most cases, a number people, including believers, usually think it has just happened, there is nothing special about it and God is not even involved. They tend to trivialize or commonise what God has done. Because, It has just happened as a normal course of life.
I have seen any number of believers who are like that, those who think what has happened in their lives, or what is happening in their lives, was just coincidental—mere chance or accidental—that it does not has anything to do with God. But such people usually lose the miracles, because they could not acknowledge God as the Giver or Provider or Doer of what they have received. They did that because God's doings are usually full of simplicities.

Note: there is no chance or luck in life, especially for a believer in Christ Jesus. Luck is not a biblical language. A believer who received a blessing, now thinking It has just happened; saying, It is a luck or it happened by chance. It means such a believer is shallow in understanding. Such does not know the ways or doings of God.
Nothing happened in a believer's life by chance or luck or a mere coincidence.
If anything happened in your life, as a believer in Christ Jesus, know that God knows about it and there is a reason for it. Stop wishing away God's goodnesses and magnanimity in your life! Stop commonising His blessings and goodnesses in your life! Appreciate God's goodnesses and lovingkindnesses in your life that the blessings might be perpetuated.
Peace!
