WALKING IN THE SPIRIT

"IF we live in the Spirit, LET US ALSO WALK IN THE SPIRIT."
Galatians 5:25 (NKJV)

If a believer claimed to be living in the spirit, let such also walk in the spirit.

To live in the spirit is to be submissive to the Holy Spirit through the recreated or reborn human spirit, practicing or living by the principles of the Word of God, the Bible. Whilst to walk in the spirit is to be sensitive to the leadings, spurs, or inclinations of the Holy Spirit through the reborn human spirit (Romans 8:14; Galatians 5:16).

Walking in the spirit is the intuitive part of the recreated human spirit. The human spirit has three functional parts: the intuition, fellowship, and conscience.
a. The intuition or intuitive part gives messages, signs and premonitions, based on the messages received from the Holy Spirit.
b. The believer also fellowship with God through his or her human spirit. It is in the place of fellowship that hidden things are revealed to a believer, the hidden things that could not be known through the mind of the believer:
9 BUT AS IT IS WRITTEN: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 BUT GOD HAS REVEALED THEM TO US THROUGH HIS SPIRIT. FOR THE SPIRIT SEARCHES ALL THINGS, YES, THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD. 11 FOR WHAT MAN KNOWS THE THINGS OF A MAN EXCEPT THE SPIRIT OF THE MAN WHICH IS IN HIM? EVEN SO NO ONE KNOWS THE THINGS OF GOD EXCEPT THE SPIRIT OF GOD. 12 NOW WE HAVE RECEIVED, NOT THE SPIRIT OF THE WORLD, BUT THE SPIRIT WHO IS FROM GOD, THAT WE MIGHT KNOW THE THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN FREELY GIVEN TO US BY GOD" (1 Corinthians 2:9-12 NKJV).
We get to know things that are freely given to us through our reborn human spirits (1 Corinthians 2:11,12). A believer gets to know the Will or plan of God through his or her reborn human spirit in the place of fellowshipping with God.
c. Conscience reproves the believer If he or she wanted to do wrong or about to take a step contradictory to God. The conscience through the intuition would make the believer lose his or her peace for them to know that the steps they are taking or about to take are wrong.

So the three functional parts of the human spirit works with the Holy Spirit. A believer who lives by the dictates of these three functional parts of his or her reborn human spirit is said to be living and walking in the spirit—such is being directed and guided by the Holy Spirit through their recreated human spirit (Galatians 5:25). Thus, a believer would have to train himself or herself to be sensitive to the messages that come as thoughts, signs, premonitions, to keep his or her line of communication with God.

Many believers because of their works, the busyness of daily activities, they could not train or develop themselves to be sensitive enough to their intuitions. They failed to develop their perceptiveness or spiritual sensitivity, thus, they are dull of hearing (Hebrews 5:11). Even If God is speaking to them through the Holy Spirit via their intuition, their human spirit, they do not know and could not discern because they have relegated the functions of their recreated human spirit to the background—they are being controlled or led or guided by their soul; mind, emotion and will. This inability to walk in the spirit makes many believers a slave of false ministers who are not of God and objects of manipulations. Their lives are being manipulated by false prophecies because they did not develop their perceptiveness or intuitiveness.

If you want to claim that you are living in the spirit, walking in line with the Word of God, the principles found in the Bible; do well to develop the walking in the spirit, being sensitive or perceptive to the Holy Spirit who resides on the inside of your recreated human spirit.

Walking in the spirit by a believer is when a believer usually initiated a discussion or frequently asked questions from God through the Holy Spirit on the inside of him or her. This occurs when a believer has the consciousness of God being present with him or her through the Holy Spirit on their inside. This is also known as acknowledging God as you go about your daily activities (Proverbs 3:5,6).
A believer who is usually having this consciousness would automatically be acknowledging God in whatever he or she wanted to do. Such would want to ask God whether to embark or take a step on whatever they are intending to do or not.
If you live your life thus, as being described here, you would always receive an answer of Yes or No concerning whatever you asked to know about—this is called an inward witness.
Start now to develop and grow in your walking with God in the spirit. Peace.
