Short Film: Run Totti Run
A short film needs a short story writer, and short stories are totally in. Did you know it's way harder to write a short story (and focus on only one aspect, one character) than a long story/book? If it's short, there's no time for details, to explain, to let the reader (watcher) get into the story for pages (you know those series where it takes 3-4 episodes till it's catching enough?).
The film was made over a period of five years and involved approximately 300 contributions. Can you imagine?
When I first started watching the film, the first thing that struck me was the amazing drawings (paintings).
The story?
Totti is the dog who didn't have a very rosy life, but his new owner changed everything. The two clearly belong together (see the silver thread of life) and they run around a lot. I love seeing that there are people for whom the dog is truly the best companion.
Everything comes to an end, and so does Totti's life. Want to see how it ends? Then you should definitely watch it! This is definitely a must-see. Not interested in short stories or watching films, and want to draw? You can always pause the screen and do a quick sketch.
Is this story sad? I don't think so. In just a few minutes, all aspects of life are covered.
