Camels-"ships of the desert"
Hello Steemit friends,
How are you all? I hope you are all well by the grace of Allah.I am also fine by the grace of Allah.Today, I will take you to the distant land of Egypt through a picture of a camel. Egypt is a country with many historical monuments. Egypt is the birthplace of various historical events. One of the seventh wonders of the world is located in the Egypt. The life of the people here is also full of variety. Today, I have come to discuss ancient Egypt a little.
I am starting with the camel caravan, which was once the main means of transport in the desert country of Egypt. Camels are called the ships of the desert and Just as ships can run for miles without stopping, camels can also run for miles.
Watching them run may seem like a moment frozen in time, but it carries centuries of history, a unique way of life, and many stories of happiness and sadness. The desert, which is often seen as empty and desolate, has a legacy as rich as the heart of any civilization.
Camel caravans have been an essential part of Egypt's desert culture for millennia. Historically, they formed the backbone of trading routes connecting civilizations. Known as the "ships of the desert," camels enabled traders to travel vast distances across the arid landscape, carrying spices, textiles, salt, and even gold. They would travel from one country to another for months on end, carrying goods on their backs.
This group of Egyptians were called nomads. They crossed vast expanses of desert in groups. Their lives were very simple and deeply connected to nature. They lived in tents made of goat hair or canvas, cooked their meals over open fires, and slept under a starry sky. Storytelling, music and poetry were an integral part of their culture. Times have changed and modernity has taken over. Even though modern transportation systems are everywhere, some nomadic communities still hold on to their traditions, finding joy in their heritage.
The life of the nomads who roamed the desert was very simple, they were not as greedy as we are. They sought happiness in the little things around them. Although the desert may seem harsh and unforgiving,
it was also a place of unexpected happiness. For nomads and camel herders, happiness came from small things: the birth of a camel calf, a successful trade in the market, or the sight of an oasis after a long journey.
This silhouetted journey across the sand dunes, covering miles and miles, captured in the picture is not just a beautiful moment - it is a window into a deep life that is a picture moves the patience, history, love and heart. Behind each person walking next to their camel, there is a story of tradition, love, affection and hope.
Although we have entered the modern era due to the change of era, the arrival of sophisticated transportation systems, nomads are no longer seen, and their walking is rarely noticed. However, we should not forget the benefits of the desert spirit. The camel, known as the ship of the desert, has become a small part of our existence. If we want to present our culture, we have to raise the topic of camels. We have to express our gratitude to them.
Today, I am ending my writing by paying my respectful greetings to that historic ship of the desert or camel and the nomads.
You are right about the comparison of those in the past and us in present time. We want more of everything and nothing seems enough
Welcome to the freewriters. I wonder if you have camels where you live. The only ones I saw were abroad and I still didn't made the travel through the sahara. If I look at them I do find them a great example of how animals can survive under harsh circumstances unlike humans.
