Until We Meet Again!

He woke up. It was already afternoon! He missed to go to work. The day probably started badly! His mind is full of thoughts and they are not of the good kind. Those thoughts which takes life out life. Those ones which makes one wonder in his own darkness. Questions.. So many questions.. He was a combination of feelings. A bit of anger, a bit of frustration.. To some extent that it can be seen on his face.. With all of that in mind, he checked his watch again. He knew the time. Nothing would change. It is just his own mind making another reason for him to feel a bit worse. If that was a possibility!

Anyway, he is a hard-working kind. His mood does not change what he is about to do. He gathered himself and stood up. Few minutes later, he was ready to go out. He went to his workplace and there was the surprise! The place is shutdown. There was a note on the door that says that the owner had to move for an emergency and that place will shutdown until further notice. It was hard to explain the emotion, whether it was good that he was not late after all. Or, is it worse that he needs to look for a new job. There was some kind of light from within. He was feeling somehow good. But, he cannot tell why.

Some relaxation time is needed, he thought. He headed to the town's lake. That beautiful lake had a cinematic vibe to it. He grabbed a chair from his car and he sat there.

Just before he closes his eyes to feel the breezes of the wind passing by. He noticed someone on the other side of the lake. She was just looking down at the lake without moving. As if the still water is making more room for head to think. It wasn't clear image to him. But, he drove up to her, and said Hi.

It was too quick that she opened up. That she said that at this day, her friend had passed away. So, she comes here with all her memories.

He can't recall what was said next, neither does she. But, ever since that day.. They both would come there every year on the same day and would grab a chair and set next to each other. Wondering to themselves how the most beautiful moments can emerge from within the hard ones.

It's great they keep going back where it all started. If I like at those chairs it must be cold. At least the sheepskin keeps the bottom warm. Thanks for sharing this story.

The picture gave me the same vibe. That it feels cold over there. Or, at least there are cold breezes.

I had the idea of ending where it all started. I like the fact that it was noticeable to you.

Thanks for passing by, :)

you are welcome.. time is limited but it's good to read and comment another.
