Diary?
Dear diary?
Well, this is not a personal diary. The title might be a bit misleading. But, this is going to be a random talk about diaries..
Let's start with a question, is it a good thing to have a personal diary?
To answer that question, I guess it is fair to say that it is not a good or bad thing to have a diary. In some cultures, it is normal to have a diary. In other cultures, it is odd. If we were to talk about the positives here. Having a diary would be a good thing because, it will help the person who is having a diary to keep a note of things that happens during his day and it will help him remember them better. Sometimes, it even helps to cope with adversity. In addition to that, people who have a diary will be practicing writing on daily basis. Which will eventually lead them to have a more organized ideas when they write.
If I have not had a diary before. What would I write in the diary?
The best answer that I came across when asking this question is that, people shall keep it random. There are some people who tend to have a certain tone or a way of writing things in the diary, which is a good thing and it is more organized this way.. However, it could sometimes be a hassle in writing everything on your mind, which defeats the main purpose of it.
What does a diary mean to you? Stories from waking up to going to bed again?
I think @seesladen is one of the best at writing diaries that have a tone in the story.
You do me such great honour dear friend.
I have no choice but to keep at it.
Thank you very much.
I often get some deep questions from you. Sometimes, when I see your comments, I just stop and think to myself ummm...
LOL
Well, I think it is not much. Considering that the culture of people around me is not the kind that writes a diary.
A diary is in the first place meant to be private the fact that publisher made a win with it doesn't mean these are all diaries most are made up.
It's not about writing what you did from minute to minute but about ventilating certain ideas, feelings, thoughts, frustrarions, note what is important and not meant to be read for others because there is no one you can trust that is what a diary is and meant for. A collection of thoughts, feelings expressed and no storyline is needed. That is because you intend to be noticed or hope to publish. Grab a pen and keep a diary on paper. Ask yourself what the moments are you grab it and write. That's the diary and it's not a game. Already the word 'diarygame' I find insulting.

I understand you fully and never did I imagine that an intelligent person would expose a true diary to the world... Maybe after I die, you'll get to see mine, if I don't burn them along the way.
You can, however, do a small report of happenings of that particular day, or write a fictional approach to a possible day in the life. Maybe you could call it the "a day in the life" games, instead.
Asking for more than that is voyeurism.
I guess, that this is the first time that I am getting a reply from you that I totally agree with every bit of it. Normally, when I see your name of the notification, I make myself ready for a different perspective. But, it's different this time XD.
Thanks for passing by =D
