Reflections

Sometimes in our journey, we do not know how to choose what is best for us. We select options believing that it is the best for us, maybe because of inexperience, or stubbornness, or maybe because we simply believe that we are so certain in our decision that it does not deserve to be heard by anyone's opinion.

Then come the questions... What happened to me? What did I do wrong? The answer is easy. We thought we could solve the situation on our own without the inclusion of second or third parties, but it all went very wrong.

Ideas

When we reached the culmination of everything, we found ourselves at a dead end. We lost our valuable time and had to start all over again. Now, yes, from our own experience, we listen to the opinion of others.

In some cases, the solution comes from others. People who, through experience or years of a long trajectory, have already gone through the same paths we are going through today. It is not cowardly, nor indecisive, much less for people with little intellect to have to turn to other people, to enlighten us in tasks that they have done in advance and effectively.

We should not feel minimized by asking for experienced help. Someone will be very interested in giving us their tics and their teachings so that we can conclude happily with a proposed task. Sometimes help comes through people we call angels.

I am not saying that winged angels will come to meet us, like some kind of strange beings, saying they are coming to our aid. No, no, no, the world doesn't work like that. The answers to our requests sometimes come to us in the form of anyone. Sometimes when we are proud and vain, we do not accept the answers that are given to us along the way.

That is, anyone you meet along the way can come to you with a message. If you think about it, you will realize that they are answering what you have asked.

It is known that there are many jokes about how we are so deaf and blind that we let situations pass in our favor.

I once heard the story of the guy who was drowning and asked the Lord for his rescue. Three people came by offering to help him, but he had so much faith that the Lord would rescue him that he refused the help of the three people three times.

When he died and met the Lord, he rebuked him for the fact that he let him die and never came to his rescue. To which the Lord very humbly and without getting upset answered him... I sent three people to help you, and you had the opportunity to save yourself in three cases, but you chose not to accept their help. That is why you are here, because of your bad decisions.

That is what commonly happens to us: we choose wrongly and then desperately ask for help.

We have to learn to see the signs when we ask for help with important decisions. Many times it speaks in a mother's mouth, and we think she speaks lies and deceit. Sometimes the answer comes through a friend, or a relative, but we decide not to bother ourselves with them because we believe that they say it out of envy of ours.

Another very common example that occurs in daily life is when we fall in love. Everyone sees the person's defects, except ourselves. We get it into our heads that this person is going to change when they are engaged to be married or when they live together. Then, when you are living together, you realize that the person is worse than you expected and that everyone was right.

That is when the pleading begins: help me, God, to change him, help me to put up with him, help me to live together, help me to change his way of being. It is impossible for a person to get married or engaged, thinking that they would love him the way he was. He proved it from the beginning, and you didn't see the signs. You did not listen to anyone who spoke to you in the voice of your mother, nor in the voice of your friends, who spoke to you in the voice of brotherly love.

We do not want to learn in life to see the signs that are sent to us so that our free will is the best selection.

Reading has always been a way to instruct us on how to gain knowledge about certain subjects. You want to know about the truth, so you should read articles and literature that tell you what the truth means. You want to know about God, so you must read literature and articles that help you to know God.

For many years, I read only literature that gave me pleasure, about detectives, criminal cases, and forensic medicine cases. For many years, I read many stories of this type. I wanted to know about the human behavior of the pathological, of what leads human beings to be perverse, evil, and murderers.

That pleased me, not because they were relaxing readings but because in this way I discovered an infinity of mental pathologies in the human being, which lead him to commit atrocities with other human beings. I no longer read this type of text.

For many years, I have only read literature that leads me to know more about the things of God. For many years, I had my mind closed to everything that meant approaching theological knowledge, but life itself pushed me to realize that this would be my final destiny.

Now with much peace and joy, I am on a path that fills me with tranquility, with the desire to move forward, thinking more about the path that is laid out for me and that I can walk it without being tied to stressful thoughts of how I must do this or how I must do that.

What has to come, will come. It only depends on us that the trail we are leaving is the best we have been able to do. Because that path will no longer be in the present. It will remain in the past. We only have the present, and this is our best gift of life, because the future does not exist. When we believe that it is about to arrive, it is because we already have the gift; the present is today.
