The Promise!

I made a promise a long time ago to a friend but then I knew the promise was more than I could fulfill, yet I committed myself anyway.

Promises are sacred.
It is like giving hope to someone and their life depends on that promise.
Which is why it can be disappointing for them if a promise is broken.
You lose your value and trust when you refuse to deliver your promise.
Which is why it is better not to promise at all than to make a promise and not deliver.

I eventually was able to fulfill my promise to my friend at a great cost.
I had to go out of my way to make it happen.
But I know it was worth it.
My friend was happy and so was I.
