I know a cheat code is synonyms to game, where you have a back door into the game and enjoy some unusual benefit of the game. It is basically cheating the system.
Even when I was younger, I do not like the story of cheat code and I do not use them because it spoils the fun from the game. Automatically you become the player who knows where he is going and what he is doing. He never loses and there is no fun in it. He does not have a worthy opponent because of the cheat, so he just keeps playing as champions.
