An alibi (/ˈæləbaɪ/, from the Latin, alibī, meaning "somewhere else") is a statement by a person under suspicion in a crime that they were in a different place when the offence was committed. I use to confuse alias for alibi and vice versa. But I later understood that while alias has to do with the person, alibi has to do with the location.

An alibi is really important to clear your name from a charge or accusation. Most of the movies I have seen taught me the importance of having an alibi especially in a complicated situation.

Thank you for your time...
