They Kept Pushing Her to Death, Yet It Was Dismissed as a Simple Matter of Dislike

in Freewriters21 days ago

She avoided them like the plague, the deadly type with no vaccine.

Rikka and her daughter had twice driven Mio to the brink of suicide; each time, she clung on, pulling herself back from death’s door.

Their psychological assault was no different than if they had physically pushed her over.

This duo’s presence in her life has been brutally regular.

Even when they never came face to face in the time in between, their stealth attacks never ceased.

Mio's wounds never healed; instead, they were constantly reopened, and new ones were inflicted, until there was no good flesh left on her. She is a shell of her former self now, beyond recognition.

They wanted her out of Sumio's life, yet they relentlessly backed her against the wall, even blocking the exit, as if there was no other way for her to leave but to be carried out in a coffin vertically, dead.

She couldn’t even get back on her feet and become independent of Sumio.

Her psychiatrist had advised against any contact at all costs, because each time Mio managed to settle into a semblance of normalcy and made a few steps forward, things would fall apart due to these triggers.

Eight years of treatment and therapy have been undone by them many times over.

Mio carries this burden alone. She couldn't tell Sumio about them being the triggers.

The truth, even if spoken, he refused to accept it; he’d push back to deflect everything back at her. He had refused to accept the reality of all their wicked behavior.

Confronting them with the truth would only escalate their aggression. Mio couldn't imagine how much more she could endure.

This was worse than a new flu; at least with that, there could be hope for immunity.

But with these two, every encounter, every whisper, every shadow they cast, would only trigger Mio, spiraling her further down the hellhole she fought so desperately to escape.

The most recent encounter, just months ago, had already made a huge dent in Mio's recovery, a battle she is still battling.

It's not that she never tried, but it makes her wonder if she should have been dead years ago than to suffer in their hands like this.

Psychological harassment and manipulation sometimes have a devastating and irreversible effect on those who suffer it.

Every time I have the good fortune to read one of your writings, I notice the strength behind those words.... I never cease to be amazed, I confess. You have a gift, a great gift.

That's so kind of you. I'm grateful for the gifts God has given me.

¡Holaaa amigo!🤗

Este relato me hizo recordar la historia de un amigo cuando alguien lo acosaba... Él llegó al punto de tener un desequilibrio mayor al que tenía su acosadora.
Te envío un fuerte abrazo💚

Most of the time it would caused some damage. I had this nasty 'friend' that used to bullied me. Not that she was violent but I still get nightmare of her from time to time

I doubt a flu is that bad, it only is if someone makes you believe it's life threatening.

After reading this one things comes to mind which is that Mio learnt nothing and can't find the energy or courage to leave and burn all ships behind her. If you can't fight them the only two options left are:

  1. join them
  2. leave

I wonder what @jiya99 will say if she reads this.

I like Mio's struggles. She face the difficulties alone and never let the fear came in her way. It's very difficult to survive when you know there is death in the door. A very few people fights. I read the story and wondered how can someone is so strong that doesn't frightened from anything.
The torture she gain the brutle behavior she survive, the question came in the mind how is it possible?

The all I got to knew the advice that whatever we got stuck in situation we should face it with braveness...

Sadly, Mio is being trapped in a very difficult situation. She tried to leave many times but failed.
