Scary Dreams

Lost in a trance, smiling, in a beautiful neverland,
Running towards a vibrant mango tree, hand in hand
With joy, a lightness in my step, no hint of dread.
Then, a sudden, gaping hole, and down I fell instead.

Covered in a net trap, my screams grew loud and wild,
No one to hear, so real, I tried to wake, a frantic child.
But what was this? I'm trapped, a sudden, chilling dread,
My screen grew dark, a monstrous form rising from my head.

Am I dead? Who have I offended? The outburst of fear!
A sudden appearance, like a giant, abominated face, drawing near.
Floating towards me with blood-stained teeth, a horrifying sight.
"Let me out!" I cried, but fear held my lips, silencing my plight.

In that helpless state, the monster aimed for my head with a chomp.
Next, I could see my family, the door broken, a silent romp.
Am I out of this tragedy? Or is this still another torment, a cruel,
Deceptive twist within this nightmare's endless, dark pool?
