Types of Essential Oils for Massage
Massage not only provides the benefits of relaxation for the body but also can improve the immune system. Dr. Meghna Dixit, a doctor practicing Ayurvedic (holistic) medicine from India explained,
"A massage helps in lymphatic drainage.
This causes toxic and waste products in the blood and impurities from the lymph and kidneys out of the body. So the whole blood and body have been cleansed. "
Massage is also able to relieve stress and nervous muscle tension. Dr. Dixit recommends to regularly perform relaxation massage on a regular basis, at least once a week. If it does not allow full body massage, at least do massage in the area of the foot, calf and back.
Studies show that people who regularly massage will have more white blood cells so it is not easy to catch colds, coughs, colds and asthma.
Various types of essential oils for massage therapy
To enjoy the massage and get its maximum benefits, the proper use of therapeutic oil should be noted. If you do a relaxing massage at the spa, then you will be in a massage with some mixture of therapeutic oil.
For those of you who want to do a relaxing massage at home, here are the best therapeutic oils you can try.
• Almond Oil
This oil is quite popular, even among therapists. This oil is yellow and very quickly absorbed by the skin, so you will not feel greasy. Its function is to soften and smooth the skin.
• Apricot seed oil
If you are allergic to nuts so can not use almond oil, then you can try apricot seed oil. This oil is rich in vitamin E which serves to smooth the skin as well as antioxidants.
• Jojoba Oil
Jojoba is actually a wax extract from jojoba plant seeds. This is the best option for people who have acne problems on the back because jojoba has antibacterial properties and contains a substance that resembles sebum skin. The downside is that this oil is too easily absorbed so you have to rub it often, or mix it with other oils.
• Coconut Oil Fractionation
Perhaps your shadow of coconut oil is white and viscous, but the fractionated coconut oil (a filtering technique) is light, liquid, non-greasy and reasonably priced.
• Sunflower Oil
The oil is an extract from the sunflower seed is rich in essential fatty acids, linoleic acid, palmitic acid and stearic acid, which is an important substance to get healthy skin. But sunflower oil is easily rancid so it must be purchased in small quantities and stored in a dark and cold place. Adding 1-2 capsules of vitamin E pure oil can extend the life of sunflower oil.
