What Really Is Sin?
The Christian Bible has been rewritten and edited so that the general understanding of "sin" is something that makes God angry.
This is almost the opposite of what sin means.
It would be better if it was entirely the opposite, but like all good lies, there needs to be some truth in it. Still, trying to untangle this is gonna take a whole lot of typing.

God doesn't get angry
It is a fairly accurate analogy to say that we are players in a video game. And we are also the people controlling the players in the video game, and the writers of the video game. (each is compartmentalized from each other, so that we can have a human experience. Starting off as a baby, and learning about everything)
So, in this analogy God would be the parent. Would a parent be upset at their children for doing something in a video game?
Would a parent be upset about their kids playing cops & robbers or cowboys & indians? If they are a loving parent, they would never get angry at their kids for playing. They might teach them to play better games, but we have free will here, and so God watches and learns from us playing and interacting.
And a parent would never get mad at the video game character doing what video game characters do. If God was truly against something, it would just not be part of the video game. If you can do it, it was designed into the video game for you to be able to do it.
You need such, because so many of our learning stories requires a bad guy / villain. Something or someone to overcome. A lot of work is done planning for people to be the bad guys in your life. And after this life, you will go into that inbetween space and have a great party where you discuss things like "oh, you were such a great villain…"
God does not get angry at you for "sinning".

What is a sin?
Our bodies are built with pain sensors to tell us when we have injured ourselves.
There are such things that can tell us when we hurt our spiritual body, but we are pretty numb to those. So, we had written down for us, things to avoid, to avoid hurting our spiritual body.
You might say that the Bible says, "Thou shalt not put your hand on a red hot stove".
One of the ten commandments:
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife
This isn't about you, and his wife. (you can reverse the genders, it doesn't matter) This is about you, hurting yourself. You may find yourself wanting your best friend's girl, but is that real? You are only in "love" with your idea of them, in your head. Further, you are keeping yourself from having the loving relationship you want. It is a double whammy; you hurting yourself. You could allow yourself to experience a loving relationship, however, keeping yourself in "love" with an imaginary person who is also being kept away from you, is almost the opposite of that. Such pain, for nothing.
It would be far better to imagine a loving relationship that you want, and that you allow yourself to have.
Further, if you make any moves on your "neighbour's wife" you will find out that she is not who you imagined, and destroy your relationship with your neighbour and his wife. So much pain, for nothing.

We wouldn't need the Bible telling us these things, if we paid attention to our spiritual body.
As we move into the future, we will grow spiritually. Humans will move from clustering in groups called religions, to each person learning spirituality for themselves. And truly, this is the only way, for each person has to walk their own walk. It is the only way to learn.
And the comprehension of spirituality is to know our spiritual body and what it means to be a spiritual being.
One does not need to be told not to lie, when one sees and feels how lying hurts themselves.
When one comprehends how we are all connected, then it becomes very difficult to hurt others, because we feel that hurt ourselves. And the traumas that would cause us to cut ourselves, or other self harm will be able to be navigated out of. We can see the trauma that caused the hurt to our spiritual body, and caused ill-suited protection mechanisms. (yes, to our young selves, hurting ourselves was a better option than being abandoned by mother, or hurt by mother)
We will be better able to handle tauma, and better able to not initiate that trauma.
Avoiding sinning will not require a book to tell us.

It could be said that humanity is growing up. Going from young children to adolescents.
This means that each person will have more power, because they will have more understanding of the spiritual world. And each person will have more responsibility for what they create.
If we use our power for evil, it will come back on us. Not only will we be hurting ourselves, our spiritual body, we will also be shortening our lives, as the earth's energy no longer supports the dark.
And so, we begin cleaning up the evil on this planet by learning what a sin is, and how it is hurting ourselves. We must correct our actions, and learn to stop hurting ourselves (sinning). And then, learn to heal ourselves.
