IF YOU CAN BELIEVE
23 JESUS SAID TO HIM, “IF YOU CAN BELIEVE, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM WHO BELIEVES.”
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “LORD, I BELIEVE; HELP MY UNBELIEF!”
Mark 9:23,24 (NKJV)
• Whatever would be received by anyone from God, It had to be by the person's faith.
- Jesus says: “IF YOU CAN BELIEVE, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM WHO BELIEVES” (Mark 9:23 NKJV).
- Your believe or faith determines what you receive from God. In other words, the level of your faith or believe determines the release from heaven.
- God is not partial. He does not love some and hate others, No. What determines or draws the desired blessings which an individual believer wanted or expected is their faith.
- The man said If Jesus can do anything He should have compassion and help him (Mark 9:22). Jesus quickly replied that the matter is not in His hand but the man's hand, that is, whatever would be done on the situation depends on the man's believe or faith (Mark 9:23).
- The man cried out and said: “LORD, I BELIEVE; HELP MY UNBELIEF!” (Mark 9:23).
• Likewise today, whoever wants God's intervention in the matters of his or her life should believe or have faith in God.
- Your believe or faith is the power with which you draw whatever blessing you are desiring from God.
- God answers or does things on the condition of mercy, in the situations where the faith of the recipient is feeble or weak. However, God would always not continue to condone the Unbelief of a believer who ought to have grown in his or her faith (Hebrews 5:12,13).
- He wants and expects every believer to grow, keep growing, in their faith until they have reached or gotten to the stature or standard of Christ Jesus' faith (Ephesians 4:13; Hebrews 5:12,13).
- What places a limit on what you receive from God is caused by your Unbelief or faithlessness. This had nothing to do with God perse, but the faith deficiency of the believer who wanted to receive from God.
- Your growth in God is anticipated by Him. He wants you to approach Him or come to Him with confidence through the Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 4:16), and receive whatever you want or desire through faith in Him (Hebrews 3:14).
• What happens in your life by and large is in your hand. Thus, work on your faith:
"AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD WITHOUT FAITH. ANYONE WHO WANTS TO COME TO HIM MUST BELIEVE THAT GOD EXISTS AND THAT HE REWARDS THOSE WHO SINCERELY SEEK HIM" (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV).
- Unbelief displeases God whilst faith pleases Him. The higher your faith in God, the greater or higher the things you receive from Him.
- If you chose not to grow or develop in your believe or faith, you are placing a limit on your chances or potentiality of receiving from God. And what grows faith is the Word of God: "SO THEN FAITH COMES BY HEARING, AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD" (Romans 10:17 NKJV).
- That is, the hearing or reading, and studying and pondering on the Word in your heart, plus the practicing of it (Joshua 1:8; James 1:22-25).
- A number of believers want to circumvent or bypass the process of growth in the faith which is through the knowledge of the Word of God and practical application of it.
- No matter what, there is no shortcut to the process of building or growing in faith, It has to be through the process of receiving or acquiring the knowledge of the Word of God, and being exposed to the challenges of life through which the knowledge acquired would be put to work or practice, before the results are gotten.
- Those who would not want to build their faith through the process of receiving or acquiring the knowledge of God's Word, the practical application of it, and praying, might find themselves a prey. They would be an object of manipulation in the hands of false ministers or prophets who are wolves in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:14).
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, I declare you healed in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- Whatever is not planted by God that is working against your health is uprooted totally in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
