ANOINTED FOR A PURPOSE 2

1 THE SPIRIT OF THE SOVEREIGN LORD IS UPON ME, FOR THE LORD HAS ANOINTED ME TO BRING GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.
2 HE HAS SENT ME TO TELL THOSE WHO MOURN THAT THE TIME OF THE LORD'S FAVOUR HAS COME, AND WITH IT, THE DAY OF GOD'S ANGER AGAINST THEIR ENEMIES."
Isaiah 61:1,2 (NLT)

• Being born-again is the foundation of whatever God will do in your life.

• When a relationship is established with God, through salvation in Christ Jesus, then His plans and programmes for your life would begin to be unfolded to you one after the other; as you progressed in your walk with Him.
• Your reconciliation to God through Jesus' sacrificial death and resurrection is instrumental to whatever God would do in your life. It determines His place or involvement in the matters of your life (2 Corinthians 5:18,19).
• God does not just get Himself involved in the matters of every human being. He get involved in the matters of those who have come to Him through Jesus Christ.
• God is the Father of those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, but the God of the whole world.
  He is not a Father to every human being!
• When you become born-again you have accepted His Fatherhood. You become a member of the family of God (Ephesians 3:15).
• God has His family in heaven and on earth, which every believer in Christ Jesus is a member:
  14-15 WHEN I [Paul] THINK OF THE WISDOM AND SCOPE OF HIS PLAN, I FALL DOWN ON MY KNEES AND PRAY TO THE FATHER OF ALL THE GREAT FAMILY OF GOD—SOME OF THEM ALREADY IN HEAVEN AND SOME DOWN HERE ON EARTH" (Ephesians 3:14,15 the Living Bible).

• Being born-again and receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit makes you a member of the family of God.

• After becoming a member of the family of God, you would have to learn the custom of the family. How things are done in the family.
• There are principles guiding the family, which is the church of Jesus Christ. The pattern of doing things in the world would not be ideal in family of God. Thus, every member of the family, the church of God, should know and abide by the principles of the Kingdom or the Family:
  14 I [Paul] AM WRITING THESE THINGS TO YOU NOW, EVEN THOUGH I HOPE TO BE WITH YOU SOON, 15 SO THAT IF I AM DELAYED, YOU WILL KNOW HOW PEOPLE MUST CONDUCT THEMSELVES IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD. THIS IS THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD, WHICH IS THE PILLAR AND FOUNDATION OF THE TRUTH" (1 Timothy 3:14,15 NLT).
• You get to know about the family, the principles of the Kingdom through the Word of God, the Bible. You read and study It, and live your life in line with whatever you read in it (James 1:22-25).
• You communicate with the Father of the whole family, both in heaven and on the earth, through prayers.
• There are different types of prayers, but a burden which you could not unravel and do not know how to handle, could be prayed about by the praying in the Spirit—praying in tongues.
  THE Bible says when you did pray in tongues, you are communicating with God and no one would understand you. You are speaking mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2).
• Endeavour also to pray the prayers which Apostle Paul consistently pray for the Ephesian believers, through it you get to know the plans and programmes of God for your life:
  16 I HAVE NOT STOPPED THANKING GOD FOR YOU. I PRAY FOR YOU CONSTANTLY, 17 ASKING GOD, THE GLORIOUS FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, TO GIVE YOU SPIRITUAL WISDOM AND INSIGHT SO THAT YOU MIGHT GROW IN YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. 18 I PRAY THAT YOUR HEARTS WILL BE FLOODED WITH LIGHT SO THAT YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THE CONFIDENT HOPE HE HAS GIVEN TO THOSE HE CALLED—HIS HOLY PEOPLE WHO ARE HIS RICH AND GLORIOUS INHERITANCE" (Ephesians 1:16-18 NLT).
• When you pray the prayers consistently for a period of time, coupled with the reading and studying of the Word of God, your understanding would be opened or enlightened, you get to know God's plans and programmes for your life. You get to know your inheritance in Christ Jesus.

• It is my prayer that your mind be illuminated, eyes of understanding be opened, and discovered God's plan for your life and fulfil purpose in Jesus' name.

• If you had any ailment, sickness, or disease, in your body, I declare your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You are healed and made whole in Jesus' name.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

• If you took the steps As highlighted above, congratulations, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based 1 in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
