Biggest Morel Found In 2025 🤯 🍄

This could be the biggest morel mushroom found in 2025. It is 11.5 inches tall, 13.5 inches in circumference, and it weighs 0.88 pounds. I ultimately found a couple others that were in the 10.5 to 11 inch range but were skinnier. Overall the season has been extremely good for morel mushroom hunting. This is by far the biggest one I have ever found. It almost looks like something from the Avatar home world. No one in my family has ever seen one this big. It was close to the usual suspects of dead elm trees. In that immediate vicinity there was only one other mushroom that was about 1/4th the size of that one.

I tried to call the DNR and the State Wildlife to see if there are records kept for each state but wasn't able to get through to anyone. Seems like there are some people who have found ones over 14 inches tall in the past and there are pictures. Seems like Missouri is a great state for these.
